This is a nice barrette for the money. It has sparkle, but a more subdued sparkle. Some of the rhinestones don't give off a flash and are a little flat. It would make a nice decorative piece for thicker hair, or maybe finer hair could use it to hold hair. I have medium thickness hair below the shoulder and I cannot fit it around my hair when putting it up. I can pull just the sides up and use it that way. I would say it's an average piece at a good price. I also don't know what the extra green and clear larger rhinestones are used for.

100% Beautiful! This hair barrette held up great through a wedding and reception. I have very thick hair and I had the top and sides pulled back as to use this barrette to hold it all into place. I received a lot of compliments on the barrette and a few women had asked where I purchased it. I couldn't be more happy with this hair barrette!

When I received this in the mail I was skeptical at first... looks outwardly like its made very flimsy, but the opposite is true. I have a thick head of hair and it kept it in place with no problems. Very pretty!
