Great ferro rod but I deducted one star because I had to replace a very short lanyard with new para cord, I wonder how much money they save, is it worth a star lol.

Good Job. Fire works display!
This is the best. Went camping in cold weather this winter. Torch lighter and regular lighter didn't light because the fuel was too cold, Busted out the big Foretrekker ferrium rod and we had combustion. Sparks like 4th of July. I gave my lanyard a quick shot of florescent orange spray paint so that it was easier to find if I put it on the ground. My camping buddies want them now, too.

I'm incredibly impressed with this product! After my friend told me about his I had to get one! Sparks EASILY fly off the bar and I don't have to worry about having a knife or additional materials on me to start a fire because you have the fire starting cord as a lanyard! Best ferro rod
This is such a great product. It makes a massive amount of sparks with every stroke. I like this so much, I ordered a second one for my father. The Foretrekker Ferro rod is perfect for your bug out bag, ETC bag or to put in with your camping gear. Foretrekker showers sparks ever time with out fail.

The magnesium is what it should be. I will replace the weak striker with a more appropriate piece of steel. Overall, a good product, but you probably ought to re-evaluate the striker.

Foretrekker sparker.
I thought it make a good bunch of sparks but I had to scrath a few times before getting a few sparks. Not worth the money. I wrote to the seller and never heard back.
