Well researched and written, the book brings to life the history and context of the film in a way that evokes the film’s power without explaining it away. A nice steady read that doesn’t tire or disappoint. Highly recommended for anyone whose interest in learning more about this film has been hindered by the lack of translated texts about it. Recommended.
