This is a superb publication and which details the history of the famous Lions since 1888. The book is a heavy one , weighing in at over 2.5kg, with 536 pages contained within cloth boards. It is profusely illustrated, often in full colour, with much of the earlier material seen for the first time. Some of the pictures could have been enlarged for greater clarity and team photos would also benefit from full captions. There are some minor errors in the team lists, which will be easily corrected in the next edition, but these are small faults in a first-class publication. This book should find a ready market with all serious follows of the modern professional game, and is warmly recommended to rugby historians in Britain, Ireland and in the Southern Hemisphere.
