Fixed my ac in 10 minutes.
Another hot Texas summer. Just in case I ordered a spare. Sure enough on a Friday night two weeks later the ac compressor would not start. Replaced it in a few minutes. Back in business…

Capacitor good box no good
The soft Amazon bag did not protect the box. The box was crushed and the capacitor out of box. Luckily the capacitor ok! Use a cardboard Amazon box guys!

Dented casing
Bought this brand because it is well known. Unfortunately the one I received is dented (see photos). It does measure OK (10.02 uF for fan and 44.95 uF for Herm terminals to C terminal, and several MegOhms DC). But I don't know what the crease in the case might have done to breakdown voltage. Probably OK, but don't know. Interestingly the box it was in was not damaged.
