This journal is just what I've been searching for, for years!! I'm so excited to finally have the perfect leather writing journal. I have tried others which just weren't a good fit, either because of the size or the design. This is filled with writing journals that are the perfect size for a journal or keeping notes. This fits well into a large handbag, or backpack/tote bag, is sturdy and the leather is just beautiful. I would definitely purchase this again and may do so for a gift!

I have been searching for a reasonably priced journal that was a decent size for writing and this one is the perfect size for me. It isn't tip top quality but it is acceptable- the leather looks nice enough and the cover holds plenty of removable notebook inserts. My biggest issue with this journal is the button closure on the front. I will be using my journal as an art journal so it will eventually be bulging full of paper and ephemera- when it reaches that point the leather tab and button closure will be worthless. I guess I will remove the button and then rethread the elastic through the leather tab to hold the journal shut and protect the elastic from fraying on the edge of the book. If you are looking for a decent quality, affordable leather travelers notebook type journal this will fill the bill nicely.

The look and feel of the journal is nice. The biggest issue I have is the elastic bands are knotted, not crimped in some way. On several occasions, I've pulled it out of my backpack only to have a notebook fall out of it. The closure is nice but hinders a bit if you write on both sides of a page, that's just my personal preference though. Right now my thoughts are to either retire it or use it with one insert only.

the book fell apart on me right away. When I opened the box there were pages loose. I figured it was shipping but any page I wrote on, it unbided. I ended up glueing the bind back myself but am pretty bummed I spent all that money - what a waste - super flimsy

The quality of the leather seems nice. But the booklets that came with it are just plain lined paper. For the cost, there should have been more details and options. One thing I do not like at all is the little button closure and flap! The button makes it so you can't lay it flat to write. It is always in the way. And the design of the flap flops all over instead of being in a steady location. I wish I hadn't bought it.

Like many of you reading this comment, I know how hard it is to pick out a journal/planner without holding it.That is why I have bought and returned so many . . but I’m keeping this PERFECT LEATHER JOURNAL !!!!Want to be helpful, so hear are some of my thoughts:It is real leather !!! yes, a single piece of quality leather that I know will last a long time.Refillable the smart way!!! The bungee cords can easily hold journals and planners, and whatever else you want to put in there, and it is easy to refill!!!Better than Midori !!! Yes I like it better than my Midori traveler’s notebook, the leather is better and holds everything in place better.I will be replacing my Midori with this one!!! All of the bungee cords are in the right spot on the spine of the journal, this way it does not get in the way of your writing.It is also larger “and less expensive” than the Midori. I attached a picture, it is about the size of an iPad mini. Perfect to take with you, yet larger enough to write in.

Hello. I received this journal just a few days ago. I have enjoyed it really, except that the button on the front does cause a problem if you are seeking to write, but I solved that by removing the button... it has a screw on the inside. Then I cut off the flap of leather that goes on that button, and I just use the elastic to keep it closed. I gave it five stars regardless, because it really is of a perfect size, and seems quality made. I can see that this will last me for a long time as a daily diary writer.

I ordered two; one to give as a gift, one to keep for myself. It does have a wonderful leather smell when removed from the packaging. Nice weight. I am more than comfortable giving it as a gift. It days lay flat which makes it easy to write in. I was surprised at how quickly I received my order - two days. Wow! I shall look to you in the future.
