Most nesting dolls seem to be 5 or 7 pieces so I was delighted to find this 10-piece set. Even more delightful is the fact that every piece is different—most 10-piece sets are duplicates of one another but part of the appeal is the mixed colors! The size of the set is very satisfying, see the pic for a comparison of the largest and smallest dolls. They come apart easily (which is not often the case with the squeaky wood). There is no shiny varnish but the paint doesn’t seem to flake off either. For the price I am completely satisfied, as it’s not so precious that I’m afraid to share it with my kids, yet it has a wonderful appearance for display on a shelf, too.

Super cute! Got this for my niece over Christmas and she had a alot of fun pulling them apart and staking them. They do get really small so I recommend cutting the stack in half and removing the smaller ones (obviously a choking hazard, common sense) but that worked out great because then I have half and she has the other half! Paint detail was very nice and I would recommend to anyone as a good buy.

I should of known the price was to low because I collect these. I have 5 sets of beautiful nesting dolls. These said "russian nesting doll" so I bought 2 similiar sets for my granddaughters. They noticed right away that they didn't have that shiny luster mine have. They are 8 and 6 and they still loved them. I would of liked honesty in the listing.

My mom bought this for my 2 year old who is obsessed with surprise eggs. She loved it so much that when a couple pieces got crushed, I bought another to give us spare parts. My 2 year old calls it her "mooshka-mooshka" doll and plays with it frequently. It's definitely one of her favorites (and she's got a LOT of toys to choose from). I also have a 1 year old who puts everything in his mouth, so I had to take away the smaller dolls to make it a safe toy.

Apparently didn't do my due diligence and discovered after receiving that this is a product from China.

I love this. I thought I was missing the tiny number 10 doll but it had fallen out while opening the dolls. Set is complete and beautiful.This is a great keepsake. Makes a great gift.
