Received the older model instead of the one pictured
The older model of the bag is still being sold while the newer bag is being shown in the pictures on Amazon. The new model of the pack has pockets on the side of the bag and the waist strap on the newer bag also has pockets the older model lacks these. If I knew I was going to receive the older bag I would have saved my money. (6 months later I'd still prefer to have the waist pockets to store a compass and energy gels in)The bag does seem heavy duty and well made but the seller should show they are shipping out a different bag. 6 MONTH UPDATEEdited after almost half a year of use-bumped up to a 4* rating (was a 1* I still don't appreciate being lied to)The backpack has held up great. The only plus side to the older model of pack is there's molle webbing down the sides so I was able to attach things to it due to the lack of side pockets. Personally if I was going to buy this again I would just buy the pressurized hydration engine bladder system that's used in this bag and throw it into a different bag that doesn't require me to buy a bunch of other pouches.Overall it is a great bag that has held up. The only thing that needed swapped out was the hose because the nylon started to unravel which is pretty normal and only cosmetic and typically I prefer to swap out hoses for a insulated hose anyways.

Best bag I’ve bought in awhile!
Great for a bug out bag for sure.

Needs more pockets and side pouches.
I have the older model of the 1600 it seems as these newer one has side pouches. I got mine during GoPro Games this year in Vail. The hydrobag and filter system built in was a plus for me. My only gripe is you have to make sure all the parts are pushed hard together and click otherwise you’ll get leaks. I’ve tried other filters and have to say this one was the first that I didn’t get sick from. I used the BackCountry one.Pros:Large bag spaceBuilt on filter and water bladder, easy to fill and disconnectMolle straps all around to add gear, suck doesn’t come with additional side pockets for stuffRugged, took 40miles in one weekend and tossed it down a hill with all my gear in it. It survived through a tree line and brush along with rocky hillside. 🤣Cons:Filter and line are a bit hard to snap back into place will cause leaksNo additional side pouches on older 1600 model for storage or water bottle.Limited internal storage on larger area due to lack of separate compartments.
