This listing if for a package of two (2) Downy Rattlesnake Plaintain Orchids (Goodyera Pubescens). These were dug and set in one of my terrariums for several months and have done wonderfully. These plants have green leaves with white veins throughout and are only about 2 - 3 inches high when not in bloom. In July or August, they send up a shoot with beautiful white flowers. The shoot is about 5-6 inches high. They prefer a moist, well drained soil. In the garden they are perennial and winter over nicely in a bed of leaves. They mix well with ferns, mosses and other woodland plants. In a terrarium setting, with limited height, you can pinch back the flower shoot as you would a coleus when it sends up it's shoot. As always, these are pesticide free. Harvested fresh from the Allegheny Mountains of PA. As with all my plants, these will be packaged with my own pesticide free sphagnum to keep them moist and fresh during shipment.

Beautiful, healthy plants! Wonderful!!
These plants arrived very healthy and beautiful! The seller packed them so well, they arrived in perfect condition,. and with plenty enough moss to plant them directly in my terrarium. The moss is pretty too! It is also green and growing, so that's a bonus. These plants are just so pretty, with the white veins and green background. The seller truly cares about the plants - it shows in how perfect they are growing, packed and shipped. They arrived really fast, and they are even included an instruction sheet - something I really appreciate a lot, as most sellers don't include any instruction on how to care for the plants. So, I highly recommend this seller, and if you're looking for these plants, you've found the best place to get them - I will be back for more plants, for sure!

You should not harvest these North American orchids from the wild. They are listed as endangered in FL and NY. It is truly a treat to come across one while hiking in the Smoky Mountains. If you are selling these, find a way to propogate your own, please. A nursery in McMinnville, Tennessee sells these and DOES NOT harvest them from the wild. Thank you...
