Does the job well
We’ve been redoing my home office and that has included a decent amount of edge banding. This tool has made that so much easier and better looking compared to not using it. We definitely appreciate the simplicity of use and the quality difference it makes in our do it yourself projects

Heavy duty tool!
This edge banding tool is a handy item to trim edge banding quickly and leaves the edges flush and clean. This tool allows you to trim both edges or one edge at a time. There were some reviews stating it takes a bit of pressure to get the trim started and I find that true with all manual edge banding trimmers. What I like about this tool is it trims very small tolerances of edge banding. When I'm done trimming all the edges I use a #200 sanding block to clean up the edges. To add, this tool is made of heavy duty plastic and feels solid in your hand. Once your cut begins it's smooth as butter.

Great for long straights
I made a shelf out of cabinet grade ply and put edge banding to hide the plies. This tool worked... mostly. On long straight sections this is much easier than using a razor however, because the cutter is in the middle, if you come to a joint (ex. 90 degree) you can't go all the way up to the corner because the blade sits an inch or so back from the end of the tool. You can finish that last bit with a razor but in my case, the shelves weren't that far apart so it was easier just to do it all by hand. This also doesn't work well on round parts, obviously the tool is flat but I figured with the blade in the middle it would work but, it can cause tear-out because the blade somewhat pulls on the edge banding as it's rounding a corner. All in all, if you're just doing straight boards then this tool works great, do watch your hands because the trimmed veneer will hurt as it comes out of the tool. In hindsight maybe it would be better to try and edge band before putting the project together but that seems like more work than just trimming edge banding by hand. I probably won't be using this tool much.

Does not work with 1/2" wood
Trimmer does not compress down far enough to trim 1/2" boards on both sides at the same time. I ended up using as a single edge trimmer. They also don't offer replacement blades that I could find. After doing about 100' of edge banding, the blades start tearing the wood and need to be touched up/replaced.

Super easy to use. Made the job easy to handle
For a rookie like me, this is a must have tool. I have never used an edging band before, this tool made the entire job very easy. After trimming the edge band, I just went over the corners with a 220 grid sand paper by hand. Super nice professional looking look. I am encouraged to use it on other projects where the edge is more prominently visible.

Solid trimmer.
This trimmer works fine. I’ve only trimmed maybe 300 feet with it but seems to be staying sharp.

Digs into edge banding
I bought these to trim birch edge banding on a large cabinet project. They dug into the banding and ruined the edge. Did not trim well at all. Not recommended.
