Fairway Needlecraft 82565 Vintage Ruffled Edge Pillowcases, Ribbon and Flower Lady Design, Standard, White

This pattern is lovely, which is why I'm giving it two stars. It's a classic pattern and would have been fun to do but man,it is so not worth doing! The fabric is so cheap and the thread count so low the serged hem stitches for the seams pulled straight through the fabric! You can see your hand through it as clear as day and even the neatest, even stitching causes it to pucker and look ugly. Add into that the fact that one of the thread numbers doesn't seem to exist and couldn't be found at the store and that the directions are a bit thin too it's a pattern I've given up on. I'm not going to put time into a project so cheap that I can't wash it without falling apart or guess at directions. I'm assuming the french knots are three strands and stem stitches two but who knows! It's a shame, it's a lovely idea but so cheaply done it makes me shake my head in sadness. I even asked my husband if he thought I was over reacting and he said to throw it out that the fabric was too thin to even use as rags!

I have looked for these for a while and was happy to find. The pattern is reminiscent of the set my Granny made me when I was a young girl. I have ordered 4 sets to make for my granddaughters. I have to say there was something wrong with at the least one of each set...seams not fully closed, a ‘pleat’ on one side, a ruffle not sewn together...right in front, yes m’mam, and a hole in one. Extra work to fix and a couple not fixable or nice enough to gift. They went in the bin! Don’t even ponder why I kept going back for more frustration! At least each got one. I’m finished with you people! Who or do you even have quality control?

I bought this as a project to get back into embroidery. The stamping is good and I think I will be fine with the stitching process. But I am a little concerned about the quality of the fabric. It is very thin and rough. I am not sure how it will hold up to use and washing. Although in the picture, it looks to be nice fabric, in reality it is very thin, I can see my hand through it. I'll post an updated review once my work is complete.

I liked the pattern of these pillowcases and it wasn't too bad working on them but you had to be careful when you put the hoop on a specific area and then pulled the material taunt inside the hoop, if you pulled too tightly the material would start to separate, that is the reason for 3 stars. Other than that they were great to work on.I would like to see a better grade of fabric being offered in the future. Do the companies really read these reviews that we take the time to write ? Would be interested in knowing the answer to this question..

I've been embroidery since I was 5. This were easy to do. I'm finished with one and started the second when my hand (that a nail tech twisted my thumb and it popped and radiated up to my wrist). Seeing Dr.s, so will get it finished when I can.

Made for granddaughters and will give to them for Christmas. One's favorite color is pink and other is purple so I changed up the colors a bit for each to have shades of their favorite colors. I'm not very good at satin stitch and thankfully there isn't much of it in these pillowcases. Making pillowcases for all my family members for Christmas. This one isn't the fastest but it is quite simple and does go rather fast.

This is one of the finest pieces I have ever sewn! It is so stunning, and I like the light stencil on a good quality pillowcase. The ruffled edge really makes this special. I have sewn this one before and embroidered my niece's name. Excellent seller and prompt delivery. Highly recommend
