perfect
Old English is a great fix for small scratches. Just wipe it on polish it in, no more scratches. I even use it on our hardwood floor if I fine a scratch. It don't last forever and you have to use it again but it is better than having to replace the whole anything. I love it. I even used it on a walnut nightstand that had water spilled on it and left a large water mark and it greatly improved it's appearance.

who'd of thought!
My wife and I got an itch in the “household project” part of our brains…what does this mean? A trip to the home improvement center for supplies and me and my son doing all the dirty work. The “home improvement project” was originally going to be tackled and knocked out over the weekend. But the local big box store did not have but one bottle of this and I needed 2, So back home and onto Amazon I went. A few days later I had it in my hands and we were ready to start the next morning. Coffee is always a sustaining part of our morning…who am I kidding?…daily routine! Without it “It is likely to be closer to a “Zombie Apocalypse” as the groans and complaints pour from our dragging bodies. I sure do hope that this stuff looks like I have seen in the pictures online. Now we are done with our coffee and ready to tackle our project, because we had to wait for the shipment my son cannot help so it’s now up to me and the homeowner ( My Wife ) to do the whole renovation. We tore down the closet and rebuilt it, we added the beams to the ceiling and finished all of the trim work, As I was cleaning up the scraps of wood my wife started to stain the walls with the Old English, I am guessing she was sneaking into the kitchen to get more coffee while I was sending her out to get tools and to cut wood because she had all 4 walls and the newly added closet done in 45 min flat. Who'd of thought you could use scratch cover as beautiful and easy to apply stain without the nasty smell of normal stain, and you get a bit of a shine out of it too. This stuff looks amazing on Southern Yellow Pine and I would suggest to anyone that you use it because it turns out gorgeous. So all in all I have to say GREAT JOB SWEETIE.

Excellent Product
This is an excellent product well worth the price. I have a mid 60's vintage dresser and matching nightstand made of a sturdy honey oak. The dresser is long and low with six drawers and also has a bookcase hutch that sits on top of it. I used this set as teenager in my bedroom and inherited it in my early 20's when my parents moved to a new home. It's been with me ever since-- in the service, in apartments, houses, and in basement storage for years on end. It's followed me from one end of the country to the other for almost 30 years. Needless to say, the set is a little beat up. It has nicks and scratches, the wood on the top of each piece had turned somewhat gray and the dresser top also had scratches from the bookcase hutch (which was also in rough shape). After moving in to a new house, the set was rescued from basement storage oblivion to serve as the set in a small guest room. My first thought was that I would have to have the set refinished. But I decided to give the Old English product a chance. I'm glad I did! The set shined up like a newborn's bottom. The product covered the scratches and brought back the luster and shine to the wood. The gray spots on the top of each piece went back to honey oak. The dry wood just drank the product in. How I used it: I first dusted the pieces and got in to all the nooks and crannies. I then took a clean cloth and applied the product to both the cloth and the top of the pieces. The directions say to just apply to the cloth and wipe it on from there but this furniture was in dire need of some direct application. After going over the furniture thoroughly, I wiped it down with another clean cloth. The product does not smell, and also does not leave the furniture feeling greasy or wet. It will cover little nicks and surface scratches well, and bring back the luster and tone of the furniture. It will help with deep scratches and gouges, but will not cover them. For that, you will have to use a furniture pen or some other type of filler. But this product used in conjunction with those items can save the cost of a total refinish. I used a furniture pen with some of the deeper nicks at the base of each piece. The end result is that the set looks a hundred times better. Not refinished-- no wipe on product can do that-- but it restored the set to a more than serviceable state. My S/O couldn't believe the transformation. She felt that we would have to either have the set refinished or buy something new. She was floored when she saw the results. I would also add that unless you have a dark walnut or cherry piece, that the "light"color will work for you just fine. Anything from a mid range wood color to lighter.

Sorcery, (pretty) strong sorcery
Edit: After a couple of weeks, the stain evaporated and the scratches came back. So I bought some polyurethane spray at a home store, used the stain again, and lightly sprayed on the polyurethane. I took one star away because it wasn't as perfect as I thought. But the polyurethane worked wonders. When I bought my home, built in 1987, I had the genius idea to put my trash can under the sink, for kitchen waste. My Great Danes thought that smelled pretty cool, so they spent that first day I went to work scratching at the cabinets trying to get to the trash. Ten years went by with me embarrassed over the sad state of my cabinets. Now it is time to sell my home, and the painter recommended Old English scratch cover. It is absolutely incredible! Put on a rag and wipe, no more scratches! Yes, the wood is a little sunken where the toenails were, but you'd have to really look for that in strong light to see it. I'm absolutely amazed.

Amazing Product!!!!
I bought the darker color years ago to repair furniture scratches, so thought I’d try the lighter version on my kitchen: AMAZING PRODUCT! I’ve spent 3 hours cleaning and staining and it has completely rejuvenated my whole kitchen! And I only used maybe a fifth or sixth of the bottle! It’s an old kitchen in an old house, and as you can see from the pictures; there was water damage and sun damage, in addition to the usual dings and scratches. TIP: Put a few drops on a soft cloth, and lightly rub the wood. You can always go back and do it again, as it dries quickly. Too much will stain darker. I’m so happy - I can’t believe the difference.
