Easy to assemble & sturdy!
Female. Ok if this woman can do it, anyone else can do it too. At 1st I was going to spend about $100 on another composter based on the bad reviews about how difficult it was to assemble this. I got scared thinking about the assembly. Luckily I didn’t! OMG. It took me 3 mins to look at the instructions (only looked at the pictures and didn’t really even read the instructions!!). Looked simple enough so I went at it with a cup of tea in hand. I didn’t even have any trouble with the divider piece either!! THE KEY TO A PERFECT ASSEMBLY is as follows: you want to start with the panel with the green doors. Then you assemble the 2 ADJACENT panels that is next to the green doors (so that the green door panel sits between 2 other panels). From there you insert & slide in the divider… then continue putting the other pieces in. PIECE OF CAKE. It took me a total of 1 hr & 15 mins to finish all by myself. I’m loving my new composter. I even tore up the shipping box it came in and threw that in the composter as a carbon source… ah, nothing wasted!! It’s such a good composter at a very good price!

Difficult to assemble.
Overall product is worth the money; however came with no instructions and supplemental parts (bolts) came unthreaded. My advice for assembly: (1) be sure to install in the parking lot of a hardware store, you will make several trips; (2) schedule a Catholic press to come and exorcise the demons; (3) while waiting for the priest, drink two six packs or smoke two joints in order to mellow out; (4) make sure there are no ladies or young children in the area - you will be cursing; (5) remember it's a journey, not a destination. Good luck!

Great looking, need time to tell how well it works
Watched a "how to assemble" before purchasing.. when it arrived it only took me a little over an hour to put it together (by myself- pat on back).. Great looking, need time to tell how well it works..

Instructions are a joke
Instructions are ridiculous. It's not rocket science - you might be better off tossing them and figuring it out on your own. Overall, once assembled it seems pretty sturdy and think it will work nicely, but do yourself a favor and YouTube an assembly video.

Actually easy to put together
The reviews almost scared me off, but my friend put this together in no time. I don't even think he accessed a video, but we should probably have made one. I assume it will work as well as the more expensive ones, but time will tell.

Stop and consider - How do you get the compost out?
I bought this bin because I wanted a way to quickly (and easily) create compost. The bin works ok for the first desire - quick composting. Stuff heats up FAST and thus breaks down fast. I filled one side then moved onto the other. So far so good. The first side broke down the small and soft debris quickly, but the larger stuff (e.g., corn cobs) needed way more time. I gave the barrel an occasional twirl, while adding debris to the second side. Two things suck: 1) getting debris in and 2) even more sucky, getting compost out. When putting a load of debris in, I found the opening entirely too small and inevitably, some debris spilled over and onto the ground. Not enough spillage to be an issue because the bin is well away from the house. The second issue is why I don't recommend this bin... getting compost out! First off, I had to remove two panels to make the opening reasonably large enough to spill the compost onto a cloth I spread underneath the bin. To get the panels off, I had to deal with nuts rusted onto the screws (obviously the manufacturer never considered taking the thing apart!), which involved attaching a vice grip to each nut (not an easy task for the first panel) and unscrewing the Phillips head screw.Anyway, a long winded review to basically say if you never intent to remove finished compost, the unit is okay. BUT this is a DON'T BUY in my mind.

large capacity
I was skeptical at first with how flimsy these pieces felt out of the box but the more parts I got together the sturdier it got. there is like 56 screws holding this together that you have to put in but it only took me about 2 hours by myself to get it together and it works great, tumbles well, and has been outside for about a month and so signs of fading or wear.

Tricky to assemble.
Lots of screws and parts but once assembled it’s sturdy and easy to rotate.
