Wish it was metal
My only complaint is that it's plastic and not metal. It's also BIG. 24 inches across and about 30 or so tall. It fit perfectly in the spot I had picked out. It gets a lot of attention when peoplr see it. If the main (clock) gear was metal it would be perfect.

Fixed the periodic squeak!
As others have said, this clock is a great conversation piece. I love it.Just recently, it started making an intermittent squeaking noise.The fix for me was easy. I re-hung the clock so that its back is now totally flush with the wall, instead of being maybe a millimeter out at the top. Now it's totally quiet.

Squeaky Clock
This is the second one of these clocks I have bought. The first one served me for about 10 years with no problems before it finally died. The latest iteration has a couple of design improvements, but I am unhappy that it squeaks when it runs, brand new out of the box. I have purchased some synthetic clock oil to see if that fixes it, but otherwise the clock keeps time and is striking as ever.
