Hilitchi Hilitchi 16ft/5m 10 Wire Rainbow Color Flat Ribbon IDC Wire Cable

Been putting together a gaming room in my basement due to nostalgia, and so I bought a Raspberry Pi Pico so I could RGH3 mod a Jasper XBOX 360 and upgrade the internal drive to a 1TB SSD and load it full of multi-region games. With that, I needed a suitable ribbon cable to run between the Pico flasher, and some of the XBOX360 motherboard pads. This seemed thin enough and had plenty of colours so I could be organized. The wires were stranded, and quite thin - but twisting and then tinning the ends worked a treat. I dipped my soldered end in flux, when soldering to the pads and they took every time and held up to being tugged on. I also used two separate wires from this ribbon to run a resistor and diode for the RGH3 exploit, and they seemed sturdy enough. The wire was thin enough I could run it between capacitors and other components to keep my work neat. I would buy this wire again.

You'd think all ribbon cable was the same, but no! Some have the "connecting tissue" be messy when you pull apart the colored strands. This stuff is great, and doesn't have that issue at all. Good product.

Actual wire seems to be a smaller gauge than specified. I wouldn't recommend for "repairs" or "make your own" ribbon cable assemblies for permanent use."OK" for hobby electronic projects but there's probably better.
