Best Cake Pop Maker On The Block
I love making Cake Pops for family and friends. So when I received a Babycakes Pop Maker as a gift I was skeptical of how good my cake pops would turn out. It turned out to be as easy as 1, 2, 3. Over 40 recipes for different Cake Pops is included with the machine so following the simple directions I was trained to become a Cake Pop expert. I made the Red Velvet Cake Pops and they came out moist and delicious. What's best? It only took them 4 minutes to cook. For this reason I give the Babycakes Pop Maker a 5 Star rating. The machine also comes with a holder to put the Cake Pops in when the come out from cooking. It comes with 50 sticks for the Cake Pops and it comes with a utensil to remove the Cake Pops from the machine. Overall the Babycakes Pop Maker is a great machine for experts to beginners and would be a great present for yourself or a great gift for anyone who loves to bake and smile.

Love it
I love this thing! It's like a waffle iron but makes little balls. I don't like the traditional cake pops (the texture is just gross to me), but I really dig this thing. I made 80+ cake pops with one box of cake mix. I just substituted milk for water and they came out great. It only took about six minutes to cook them. I used a squeeze bottle to put the batter into the maker and it worked great. After cooling I froze the cake pops for about 10 minutes before I coated them with melted candy and sprinkles and it worked great.I also tried it with muffin mix and it worked really well too. It also comes with some recipes that I haven't tried yet but can't wait to.

broke during the first use!
i ordered this babybakes cp-94lv-purple. followed directions, plugged it in. waited for the green ready light, which never came on, but clearly the appliance was really HOT. put in the batter, which was immediately starting to burn, close it, but had to open it before the prescribed 4-6 min b/c it was clearly starting to burn. the cakes were burnt on the bottom and barely cooked on top, so i turned each cake ball over manually to cook the other side b/c the top was not hot enough to cook them, apparently. after they cooked thru, i took them out and tried it again with the remaining batter, and again they were cooking way too fast as i was pouring in the batter, hurrying to get them filled and the lid shut so the tops would have time to cook before the bottoms burned. when i closed the lid, i noticed the red power light was no longer lit up, but it was still plugged in. concerned i kept an eye on it to see if it would eventually come back on...waited and waited and waited. after 6 min, i opened the lid, batter was mostly raw and the appliance was feeling cool to the touch. i unplugged it and let it cool completely and tried to plug it back in later to see if it would heat back up. never did. power light never lit up again. COMPLETE DUD!!!!! i didnt even get ONE decent batch out of this pop maker. am returning it immediately to get my money back. very disappointing.

Super easy cake pops!
I just baked my first batch of cake balls in this and I absolutely LOVE it!My first go 'round with cake pops was not successful. Mixing frosting with a perfectly baked cake just cranked up the sweetness to a ridiculous level. Then there's the texture. Is it moist enough? Too moist? Lastly, there's hoping you packed that cake ball perfectly. If not, get ready for the crumble. Just bad news all around.I got such a great deal I figured I wouldn't be out much even if it didn't work. I can't believe I didn't just do this from the beginning! I love having just a little ball of cake instead of that cake/frosting mess. Much tastier, plus the texture is simply light, airy cake. They don't come out perfectly round (which is the only reason I didn't go with 5 stars) but if you fill just right you can get pretty close. You do have to work quickly when you fill the "pockets" because they begin to rise fairly quickly. The first batch I just grabbed my 1 Tbs. scoop to get an eyeball of exactly how much that is. After that, I used a squeeze bottle to quickly pour. 6 minutes is what worked for my particular recipe so the process went really quickly.Even though the cake balls don't come out looking like perfect little balls, it's really no big deal. The side that is on top is what isn't absolute perfection. Easy fix? Put the stick in that side. Once it's dipped nobody will notice, I promise. Happy cake pop making!

Great kitchen toy
I have used the pop maker several times and it is great, just read any tips you find, like use the included recipes as regular cake mix is too runny (plus you'd be baking cake pops forever!) Follow the time instructions as well. They really do bake that quickly. I wiped out the holes with a paper towel and a little bit of oil after each use. Also, a dispenser or tiny scoop for filling the holes is almost a necessity. I tried it with a spoon and with a pouring measuring cup, but it was messy and took too long. The first filled were trying to rise, so I had to stop and bake that batch half full. Still worked great. In short, I am very pleased and if you like weird and wonderful kitchen toys, this is one you should try.
