Perfect for keeping cozy on long flights
I am generally a person that gets cold very easily. I wear lots of layers and I am always cuddling under blankets. Knowing that I get cold easily, I got this blanket for my trip to Ireland from Seattle WA. In all I used this blanket over 30 hours and it served it's purpose well. Our trip was nine days and our goal (both of us women) was to pack our belongings into a small carry on and small hand bag. So when we started to look for travel accessories. Light weight, small and easily packable were all requirements.I was a bit skeptical when I read reviews that said it was a thin blanket and that the reviewers returned it, but I was able to purchase a new but returned blanket at a good price, so I figured it was worth trying. Yes the blanket is thin, but soft, LARGE and WARM. It kept me cozy the entire flight covering me from toes to neck. My mom purchased a fleece blanket. When she first pulled hers out, I will admit I was a little jealous, but she was cold the entire time we were on the plane, even using the complementary blanket to try and stay warm. I was able to use the complimentary blanket provided on the plane as lumbar support because I didn't need any extra layers to keep me warm. The blanket is light weight and folds up into a small roll that fits into a draw string carry case made out of mesh and nylon that comes with the blanket. It is slightly larger than a can of soda all packed up, but again it is light weight. So all this to say don't let other reviews scare you off. I really think that they may have gotten the blanket, saw that it was thin and assumed that it could not do the job. But from my experience I feel like it did the perfect job.Oh on a side note...the word cocoon would lead some to believe that this is almost like a sleeping bag...it is not...it is a blanket.

My Travel Buddy
It's light, it's comfy, it's warm, it's blue. You can even stuff it in your pocket in a pinch. It's a shawl at times; at other times it's a blanket for planes, trains, and automobiles. It doubles as a bottom sheet for hosteling. Buy two of them and, for warm weather, you have a cover as well. No need to pack a bathrobe. This makes a fine cover-up for running into and out of the shower. A great beach blanket because it wicks off the sand in a second, and is ready for other uses. I wish these had been around fifty years ago when I was nursing babies. Would easily fit into a diaper bag. It's certainly sturdy, and I'm sure I'll have it for all my future trips.

Best travel accessory I've bought
This blanket packs up nice and small to fit in your backpack to take on the plane, and yet is big enough to cover you head to toe. (Or me, anyway, I'm a 5'5" woman.) The fabric is a very soft, lightweight moisture-wicking polyester, and while it feels thin and light, keeps you surprisingly warm because of the moisture wicking aspect. I bring it with me every time I fly and am always insanely grateful for it. I've bought a lot of other travel accessories that I end up getting rid of because I just don't use them. This one comes in handy in all kinds of ways (can also serve as an extra curtain in place without blackout curtains ;) ). Highly recommended!

Perfect balance of warmth and size.
As others have written, it is thin and light. It almost seems too thin to be effective, but I used it folded in half and was very comfortable on a 7 hour flight. Best of all, it is a convenient size once rolled up in its bag.

great travel blanket for all occasions
My original use for this blanket was for a trip I was taking in Africa. I would be living there for several months and knew it was going to be warm so I didn't want to have a thick bulky sleeping bag to I took this as well as a sleeping bag liner with me. And I'm so glad I did. The blanket is soft and light but on the cooler nights kept me warm enough and then when it heated up, I did not overheat under it's fibers. In addition when I came back from Africa it was winter in the States and I had very little warm clothing with me so while I was in the airplane and airport, I used the blanket as a blanket but also rolled it into a scarf. I could also see this a great throw for around the house, on a roadtrip, camping or even at the office. The best part is there is no fuss of rolling it up and trying to fit it into the sack, it just stuffs right in there and you can throw that into whatever bag you have or clip it to the outside. So happy with my purchase!

My wife liked it so much, she took it from me!
This is the perfect, light-weight blanket for both travel and home. The size makes it plenty large enough for me (I'm 6'0"), yet it's lightweight and easily packs into a small configuration (about a 3" x 6" cylinder.) My bride tends to be hot-natured, so she's always looking for a blanket or wrap to keep her warm whenever the temperature drops below 80*F. This wonderful little blanket turns out to be a great choice. As other reviewers have noted, it's very thin (almost see-through,) but don't let the "thinness" fool you. It stops the flow of cool/cold air and helps retain body heat, which is all you really need when you're a little too cool for comfort.

Might be good for travel... not for camping.
It's a good size, but I wish it had a little more heft. It's more of a sheet than a blanket. some might like it as a sleeping bag liner (which was what I bought it for). The jury is out whether I'll like it for that... it adds a little softness/comfort, but I doubt it'll add much warmth. I'd probably rather have an actual bag liner.

Terrific blanket for on the go people.
I read a ton of reviews before I bought this blanket and it is easily one of the best travel item purchases I have ever made. It goes with me every trip. I get hot quickly and I am increasingly wary of sleeping with the bedding at hotels, so I use this little guy regularly and I am always comfortable as I stretch it to cover me, especially in the uneven temperatures of a hotel room. This is a great blanket for long flights, a much more certain item than those given out on the airlines. It rolls up a little bit bigger than a soda can, especially after you wash it a few times. I have used it everywhere, throw it in the car, or a back pack, great at a beach, attach it to your cooler and you can have a handy blanket to sit on the grass. I am a big guy over 230 lbs and it covers me well and clings to you when you stretch it out. A perfect gift for yourself or the traveler in your family. Worth the price.

Amazing Blanket
As someone who produces a lot of heat when sleeping, this is an amazing blanket!! I purchased it for a sailing trip in the Caribbean where the temperature at night was 29c and very humid.Amazingly this blanket "drapes" over me so that I sleep well but keeps me cool! Very compact for travel and quick drying too!Somehow it also keeps me warm if I am cool!I am not one for gimmicks, this one is the "real deal"

Really happy with product!
Amazing amazing amazing! I wish I had this when I backpacked around the world. Thin but does not take away from performance. Can be used as a shawl as well. Will more than likely order more colours soon!
