If yours arrives safely you maybe quite satisfied with it
This is basically a thermos bottle in a carafe body and it works about as well as the thermos bottle you may have had in grade school. I gave it four stars, but I would have given it 3 1/2 if that option were available. I returned it not because I was particularly dissatisfied with it, but because the shipper believe his own ad that stated it was made of high Impact plastic and shipped it in a flimsy box. During shipping the handle must have received enough of an impact to cause two hair line cracks inside the top of the carafe where the handle joins the top of the carafe. If yours arrives safely you maybe quite satisfied with it, but I chose to replace it with one that was made out of mettle and I hope proves to be a bit stronger.

Bad shipping policy.
This product was shipped to me from Poland. It was sent in nothing more than a brown paper envelope and the handle and lid were shattered. I used a carafe from this company on my work site that is so old it is labeled "made in West Germany", so before the Wall got knocked down. I love it and it still works but I need another. I am so disappointed that this is sent in an envelope, not bubble wrapped in a box. Interestingly, the glass interior was unharmed.

is better. And to my surprise
Even though made in Germany, if it is, as it claims, has some minor defects. Plastic on the opening is not well made. See picture. On the other hand, another Germany made carafe, the Alfi, is better. And to my surprise, this Esma comes with no box but a bubble wrap.
