Made for the landfill. How hard is it to make kitchen tongs with a joint that doesn't fail? Apparently all the advanced economies of the world haven't been able to figure it out. These tongs come with a rivet holding the two pieces together. It doesn't take a genius to know that using a rivet to secure a moving joint is bad idea. Out of the box the rivet is so tight that you can barely open and close them, but in a short time (half a dozen uses or so) the rivet loosens and fails, the pieces fall apart, and into the garbage it goes.Handles were nice, metal was fine. Product is garbage because they wouldn't spend a fraction of a cent to figure out a better hinge.

I have these mostly to pull out my oven thermometer (as I use it to gauge the heat on my oven since the oven is not accurate). These are sturdy, a nice length and the plastic handles are much more comfortable than all metal ones.

Put a little olive oil in the screw and loosen them up. They are perfect and a great price.

These tongs are very hard to use. I'm disappointed. They need some greasing or something. I shouldn't have to press hard to use them.

bought these to go camping, like the handlescan really grip those hot dogs or steaks off of the grill

I really wanted to love these tongs. But, after using it a few times it loosened up so much that it's not even usable.
