Nautical Octopus/Kraken/Squid Ocean Mug- by Abbiamo Tutto -Made In Italy -Hand Painted, 12 oz Cup Great for Hot or Cold Beverages

I ordered this mug to match a mug (the fish) that I gave my husband, but with the octopus. I've had it since March 7, I haven't used it in the past 2 weeks and I see today that there are long and deep crazing cracks in the glaze. As a ceramicist, it looks to me like the clay body wasn't fired to maturity so the glaze doesn't adhere to the clay body-- that's a common cause of this type of crazing. Water seeps into the glaze and shows up as a dark stain along the crack. I paid too much for this mug to shrug my shoulders about it. :(
