Finally broke down and just bought a Camelbak water bottle. It arrived fast and at my door in less than 2 full days which is unusual given our remote area. At first I could not get any water to flow thru the bite straw and it appeared not to have a slit. To open it up, I had to squeeze the bite valve and twist & roll between my fingertips and Voila! an opening appeared. I love the fact I can easily sip right to the bottom of the bottle without having to tip my head at all.

Takes a bit of getting used to in that you have to bite down on the straw so the water will flow. Once you have that mastered it’s a breeze to use.
