WONDERFUL rolling walker!!!
We purchased this item several years ago for my mother, who had Alzheimer's. She is gone now, but used this daily and enjoyed sitting on it and rolling around on it (note, when sitting, it rolls much better BACKwards than it does forwards!) in the house and at church. She passed away last year, one month before I had my first of three knee surgeries. I fell after surgery, developed an infection, and 7 months later, I am still using this rolling walker.I don't know if I can possibly convey to you how awesome I think this walker is. I also have a standard two wheel walker, but after my third surgery, when I had also developed a stress fracture of the tibia in the operative leg, this walker was such a life-saver. I would not have been able to leave the house without this walker. Many stores have electric carts for the handicapped, but they are inside, and hubby would go in and get one and ride it out to me. If they didn't have electric carts, I'd walk to the store with my walker, and then could sit and roll to get where I needed within reason. At home, also, especially after I was so sick from my infection and had had my knee aparatus removed and a bone cement spacer placed in it, this walker was a Godsend. At night if I had to get up to move around or go to the bathroom, I could do so independently because I could get out of bed and turn around and sit in the locked wheel roller, then unlock and roll into the bathroom. Very slowly at first, but I was independent to do this, which is important to us all! Now I have progressed to walking with it at night, and am not using it all the time during the day, but I keep it safe, just in case as I have some dizziness issues and sometimes sitting is much better! When we are out and about, like going to our daughter's to see our new grandson, or going to church or another get-together, I don't have to take a huge purse. I can wear a small crossbody purse with my debit cards and lipstick in it, and my other necessities can go in the basket in small zipper pouches. I also keep a small flashlight in there in case the power goes out at night and the moon isn't bright enough to light my way around. My daddy also had one of these in a larger size – both my grown daughters could sit on the seat at the same time! He didn’t have the opportunity to use his very much, but it was great for him! If you have a parent or other relative or friend who needs walking assistance, I encourage you to look into these walkers. The wheels are large enough to roll easily, and the brake handles are ergonomically made for ease of use, even for those of us with arthritis.PROS:Ease of useFolds for travelBasket lifts out easily and carries a good amount of stuffWheels are large enough to roll easilyCONS:Perhaps the price for some people, but believe me, we have gotten more than out money’s worth from this! Otherwise, I’ve got no cons!CONCLUSION:Although this was purchased for my late mother, I’ve used it myself for 7 months now. While I look forward to the day when I no longer NEED to use it, at this moment, I am so grateful that we had the foresight to purchase it for her. I don’t know how I’d have made it through these months without this wonderful tool!If you have any questions regarding my review, please do ask, and if my review is helpful to you, please consider letting me know by using the voting buttons at the end of the review. Warning: Height Specs Wrong
I got this walker for my mother, who is 4'10". The determining factors were the appearance and design of the walker, the specs, the price, and the overall excellent reviews on Amazon. In particular, the product description indicated 'HANDLE HEIGHT 28-32".When we received the walker, the appearance was exactly as shown on Amazon. It turned out to be the American Bantex model R4601-RD. The product was new and shipped in the original box -- however, it was not packed very well. The handle pieces were separate from the walker body but were supposed to be fastened/tied to the walker body via thin plastic fastener straps. However, one of the handles was loose and had been banging into the walker body during shipment, which caused scratching on the main body. Fortunately, no major damage was done and the handle brakes still functioned. The major problem is that the height adjustment of this walker is NOT 28-32". At the lowest bolt adjustment, the handle height is 34" (from ground to handle middle), and at the highest bolt setting, it is 39". By taking out the bolt screw completely, the walker handle can be pushed down further so that it comes to a height of 32" (ground to handle middle). So the absolute minimum height of this walker is 32" (and that is without the bolt in place) -- nowhere close to the description of handle height of 28-32". If you are buying this walker for a small person or child, this is NOT the walker you want -- it is TOO HIGH.I was going to return this, but my mother advised that if I could secure the handle at the 32" height, that it would probably be ok for her intended use (outside the house), and that is was probably not worth it to pay shipping costs to return it (in the box, this is a large item). I was able to drill new holes in the handle bars so that I could use the bolt screw to secure the handles at the absolute minimum 32" height.Otherwise, this walker is pretty well made, the brakes work OK (although a little stiff), is well designed, and a good value for the money. The wire basket is fairly large (15" x 8", and 5" deep) and easily removable. The basket must be removed to fold the walker so it can placed in a car. The walker is fairly light -- it seems to be about the 11 pounds stated in the description. The seat swings up easily, and there is a small zipper pouch on the bottom of seat that can store some small items (eg, very small wallet or credit cards, cash, etc).If not for the inaccurate height specification, I would rate this item 5 stars.

Very Easy to Put Together and Use
My mom broke her hip in October and has slowing been recovering and although she has a walker and a wheelchair, both are somewhat clunky and do not really fit the bill for her mobility. She is weak and does not have a lot of stamina. She needs something to give her support (like a walker) but also something that she can use to sit when she gets tired. This rolling walker seems to fit the bill. She finally consented for me to order it for her. The walker came in about 3-4 days (fast delivery) and was very easy to put together. My mom is not a light weight (about 199#) and she needed something study. This device says it will hold up to 275# although if you have a big behind, I'm not sure that you could comfortable fit into the seat part. However, for her it is fine. I assume that you could maybe widen the handles with the hand breaks a bit and obtain a bit more room for one's butt but thankfully we did not need that. However, this might be a consideration when thinking about this item. The price was good as I looked at quite a few of the walkers and read the reviews. This seemed the best of the lot for the money (around $85). The only thing that bothers me is that she does need to remember to keep the hand breaks locked as she sits or else she might go careening off into the sunset and get hurt. Fortunately, my mom has no memory problems and so this is not a problem. However, this might be something else that one needs to take into account when ordering a device like this. If the older person's memory is impaired and could not remember to squeeze the hand breaks while sitting or their hand strength is poor and they are not able to squeeze the hand breaks and hold them closed, lack of use of the locking device could be dangerous.
