Hearts are awesome. Cut well and perfect for a wedding guest book. I did a test using ULTRA fine point sharpie. On one side there is no clear coat. I sprayed the other side with clear coat. I wrote on each side. There was a small amount of bleed on the side with no clear coat. But remember, this picture is very close up. Looking at it normally, it doesn't look like much. True, there is almost no bleed once sprayed, but it raises the grain. The heart is no longer as smooth as it was. We have decided we like the side with no clear coat. One thing less to do for very little results.

I was very happy with the quality and finish of these hearts. Intended to use them for Valentine's day but never got around to my project. May decorate them for small Christmas ornament gifts or gift tags.
