At first, I was skeptical to buy this katana since it looked so good, was so cheap, and had no reviews. It seemed too good to be true. I ordered it anyways. If you have been doing what I did, searching for days for the perfect katana, finally finding one but then figuring out it doesn't arrive for two months. This one got to my house in three days. If you are searching for one, stop looking and get this one. Now, on to the actual review. The katana is incredibly well built. The sharpness is insane. I cut through a watermelon with it! The Bohi (blood groove along the spine) is really well engraved, and is not sloppily etched on like a few others I have seen. The Hamon (wave pattern on blade) is real, and isn't acid-made. The Tsuba (hand guard) is real brass, and stays on really well. There isn't any play to the interlocking pieces. The handle is well wrapped and stays in your hand. It's very grippy, which is great for me because my hands sweat all the time. It seems to be made out of real ray skin, I have another one which is clearly plastic but his one has a really weird texture and looks really cool. The Saya (sheath/scabbard) is AMAZING. It's real wood, has gold-plated ties where the Sageo is tied on. When you sheath the katana, there is ZERO play inside the Saya. There is no rattle whatsoever. You can even hold it upside down and the katana won't fall out. This is amazing, because my other cheap katana rattles like crazy and drives me insane whenever I move it around. The katana came in a really nice silk bag that you can store it in sort of as a dust cover or when you are traveling and need to put it in a bag. It wasn't listed so I was super surprised that it came in such a nice cover. All that for only 150 bucks?!? Get this one. It's Ana amazing katana that will probably last longer than I will (if I take care of it properly). Got it as a gift and it was perfect! Great quality. Packaged very well so everything is in good condition upon arrival. Absolutely loved it!

Arrived on time, packaged very well, No flaws to any of the sword parts or scubard, blade was oiled and wrapped in a suran wrap type plastic. Handle was also well wrapped in a harder plastic. Sword fits tight into scubard. And a nice silk slide-in cover came with it. Company sent me a review email and offered support.

Blade has chip in it and end of the sheath has wood knot rosin make brass fitting tarnished. And will not or do not recommend this to anyone!!

The only reason i have 4 stars instead of 5 was because the balance of the sword. The weight is more in the blade and this sword has more of a curve to it than the katanas im used to, made learning iai strikes a challenge but not impossible. Still a very soild sword
