POOR POOR POOR design !!! the mounting post BLOCKS the power plug (USB) because they put the cord at a 90 degree angle coming from the unit - and guess in which direction ??? YEP - right towards the mounting post of the unit (to mount it to the window mount. So essentially if you plug the cord into the unit (mini usb) then you can't put the post in and vice-versa.STUPIDEST design I've ever seen.I purchased a different one - almost looks like same camera and capability - but the power cord comes out STRAIGHT from the connector - so - it won't be affected by the mounting post

Dont buy this, I have had a dash cam in my cars for ten years now. I have purchased many dash cams over the years. This one has been problematic after one month. I have bought others for less money than this one and work fine after years of extreme heat and cold. This one is very finicky it will stop running after an hour, it has good a quality picture but because it is so un reliable I would recommend you buy another model. The infra red lighting makes ZERO difference unless it is mounted on the outside of your car, you can buy military grade infra red bumper mount lights if it is important for you.

The suction cup on my dash cam Black Box G1W tore out from the holding mechanism. Hence I purchased this holder as a replacement, since the manufacturer claimed it was compatible with G1W. However I found that it was too big for the slot in G1W. I would have returned it, but I found that if I just used the suction cup and its mechanism and screwed it to the piece in the old G1W, i could still use it.Giving 2 starts because it not as specified, and not 1 star, because I could still use it.

Arrived secure in bubble package, working as advertised. I got a couple velcro swaths to fasten this unit to the side of my center console in car; low profile enough to stay out of legroom area but still handy. Good product; I really like that each socket has individual control and a light glows blue when it is turned on... very convenient! Will be back to purchase again if this one ever dies!

Try something else, don't bother with this one. The instructions (using a magnifying glass) are next to worthless. There is supposed to be a function on the menu for changing the date and time for use on the video, no such function is on mine, so I have to use it with this function turned off. Okay, so it is made in China, and their English leaves a lot to be desired, but it is inexcusable that their instructions are so poor. Why would you design and manufacture an item and then provide documentation that is on par with toilet paper? Pass on by.

ok, this model i ordered, because i had gotten one awhile back,***it worked like a charm, but this 1 is junk......it WILL NOT charge, while it is plugged into the lighter plug in, also the *motion detection will not allow the cam to come on, it will not *auto shut off, when the truck is turned off, nor will it come on , when the truck is started.....the cam just stays on *all the time*.i literally have to turn it on, and off manually . will not buy again,

For the price paid it does the job but I think not everything works properly. My screen acts up sometimes or when fully charged it says low battery and turns off. Only supports up to 32GB which is a maximum of 3.5-4.5 hours depending on the video quality. Additionally, I couldn't get the auto loop to work or understand the purpose of it; motion detection also does function or it has a short range of detection. I think paying more for a camera with higher quality and functionality is a better choice.

We were very disappointed with this item. I charged it in the evenings and the next day the battery was dead. When I try to use it in my car while plugged in it just kept beeping & going on and off. The HDMI vision at night was great quality and video quality has a beautiful view.. when it works, which was rare! I will probably return this item if I cannot get the battery to hold any kind of charge- it is of no use to us.

Excellent product. Works really good. Was worried if I can buy this ..but the performance exceeded my expectations.Only thing is that the manual could have been more detailed.

Spend the extra $35 and get a nicer one suction cup mount broke 2 days in and now the cam itself turns on and off randomly and never runs out of battery which may sound like a good thing but not this time
