Created in the UK, over a two-year collaboration between former Bliss spa-entrepreneur Marcia Kilgore, Biomechanist Dr. David Cook and a team of untiring footwear engineers, FitFlops were initially designed to help modern women squeeze a little more exercise into their increasingly hectic schedules."I thought, how amazing if I could invent something that would help fight the onset of cellulite while I'm walking to the office," says Kilgore. "I work. I have kids. I have a husband. And the likelihood of me seeing the inside of a gym in the next ten years is slim to none. That said, I'd obviously prefer to go with slim." Kilgore found Dr. Cook at The Centre for Human Performance at London's LSBU, where he envisioned injecting the patent-pending 'microwobbleboard' technology into the midsole of the function-forward flip flop. Slightly destabilizing, FitFlops feature three distinct densities of EVA foam in a single-fused underfoot piece, to challenge your muscles more every time you step - to deliver a workout while you walk.

Quality has changed on these men's FITFLOPS. This year's version has cheaper, thinner, less comfortable. straps. The show itself is the same size but seems slightly narrower.I had a similar experience with a pair of FITFLOP woman's sandals which I thought were inferior to other styles I bought, but I did not have an exact pair to compare to. FitFlop has changed-Fit Flop is flopping!

Just Right
It took a couple days to get them adjusted right, but fit great and will probably get a second pair.

Very comfortable
My first pair are getting worn after several years of almost daily wear, so I bought another pair. Good fit, very comfortable. I can wear these around the house, and also for short trips outside.

Quality has gone down hill
Night and day quality from 4 years ago. Just bought a new pair to replace my high mileage pair. They are no longer made of leather, and like walking on 2 bricks. Walked about 5 feet in them put them back in the box and shipped them back. HUGH disappointment!!! It is a cheapy version of the old ones.
