It works well to used Weldon’s to glue mosaic pieces on.

Outdoor mosaic

This fiberglass mesh is just what I needed to build a substrate for a mosaic project. I agree with other reviews stating that the mesh came folded rather than in a roll which makes it more difficult to deal with the fold likes for a mosaic. I cut the mesh to size and laid it out flat overnight with some boxes of stone and smalti that are in my studio. The next morning, it was much easier to work with. Still, I wish it came in a roll as pictured so I didn’t need to do all this.

This product was used in a base coat for so it is very important to be smooth. Very disappointed that it came folded up into a nearly one foot square. I would have returned the item but time was a crunch and I was forced to buy another one just to finish the job. The quality is good, the mesh is very thick but I would not recommend if smooth is what you are looking for.

While the product itself is pretty much what I was looking for to complete the base layer of micro cement on my floor, the folds kept popping up and caused several high spots. Additionally, it required extra material to even out.Maybe with a heat gun to warm up the mesh might straighten it out, but it shouldn't be needed and should be rolled, like the product photograph.

I specifically chose this product because the seller represented it as a “rolled” (not folded), item. 39”x5yds of mesh came folded and stuffed in a small plastic bag; resulting in hard seams. Hard seams present difficulties when trying to lay the mesh flat which results in extra effort while applying individual tiles or tesserae.

This product came folded up in a bag. This made the project I was using it for much more difficult. There were too many wrinkles that would not come out and the product would not lay flat.

Heavy mesh, but it came folded in a square. Not idea when the mesh holds the fold marks.
