definately a keeper
Had an big issue with this, (my original order). When i received it, the box was soaked by rain and had totally been demolished to tatters. The playpen which was half contained in a carrier sleeve (the zipper was not closed), did not include a zip on cover. Considering this playpen is for my ferrets, the top is a critical component. Contacted Amazon (fulfilled by), who set up a return process. I needed the pen ASAP, so I just ordered another one from seller directly, thinking this would give me a box to return the first one in. It was a Great plan. the direct ship from seller package arrived faster than it would have shipped prime- that's always awesome!- and I quickly noticed that something went haywire with my original order during shipping- this arrived in a regular cardboard box-not heavy duty or anything, but not the paperboard that was left with my first one. Also the carrier sleeve was zipped up perfectly- zip on cover neatly folded into it. That leads me to think there was some tampering going on somewhere, and neither Amazon nor the seller is accountable.End result is that I have decided to keep BOTH playpens-They are fabulous for ferrets- and I can can alternate the bottom section to use as a replacement while cleaning the other one. i plan to make my own top to allow room for vertical climbing toys eventually. Now my ferrets can go where I go safely, comfortably, and happily- they love these things more than i do even. This is a very well made pen also, heavy canvas, heavy mesh, with good zippers. Wish I'd had one this big when my pit mix puppies were still puppies. If there is one "con", it would be the re-folding process. I can get it folded, but it is difficult to get it smooth and compact enough to put back into the carrier- I just secure it with the wrap around elastic strap, still very compact and much simpler to accomplish. I actually use the carrier bags to transport the 'bedding' which is mostly some padded horse saddle blankets or something (i dont do horses so i dont know what they're called but they do the job) , hammocks, and snuggle blankets. A perfect portable containment system for my fuzzies. Can't ask for more than that.

My little guys love their private oasis
This is the best investment I could have made for my new kittens. This was my situation and experience to keep in mind.I brought home my two, 11 week old Ragdoll litter mates, weighing 4 and 5 pounds, that are joined at the hip. Therefore, companionship may factor into my success. They were introduced to the "octagon" as we call it, immediately after coming home from a 5 hr car ride, a good dinner and a potty break. They have a bed, litter box, water, food and toys in the enclosure. They slept for hours. No attempts at scratching or meowing. I let them out when they woke up and after more playing and eating, back they went. I have had them home for 5 weeks now and the "octagon" has become their kennel. They have never used the litter box, which I remove during the day and put back at night just in case and they always know they can grab kibble or a drink during play sessions and between feedings. This has become their nighttime sleeping room and their safety zone when I have to leave the house. They are just 16 weeks now and Frankie is closing in on 8 pounds and Archie 7 pounds. They do not object to unscheduled downtime and have never attempted to hang from or scratch the top which I keep on at all times. They have not tried to dig their way out either.I think this "octagon" is great as a new introductions for little ones. That being said, I would not dream of trying to put an older kitten or adult cat in it after having complete freedoms. This has been a life saver and have given me a tremendous feeling of security and safety for my growing boys.

This playpen is big and sturdy
This playpen will be great for my two corgi pups that come home tomorrow. It is big enough for two full grown dogs. It has a nice carrying case and folds into about 3' long x 2' high x 2" deep. It seems very well made and the fabric is strong. The only reason I gave it four instead of five is because I had to view a YouTube video to figure out how to close it up again. The instructions only showed how to open the playpen and set it up, which is very easy to do.

Life Saver for Fostering Kittens!
This worked perfectly for fostering young kittens! I recently fostered four kittens, who were about 4 weeks old when they came to me. I needed something to keep them safe and contained when I was at work, during the night, or any time when I couldn't be home to watch over them. I got the medium/large size play pen and it was plenty large enough for the four kittens including their litter box, a large comfy kitty cuddle nest, food bowls, water bowls, scratching platform and lots of toys. I did worry about them trying to climb the netting on the sides, but they didn't. I loved the easy access zip top and side doors and the waterproof fabric that was easy to clean and sweep up spilled food and protected floors in case they spilled their water ( which they did often!). The material, the netting and the zippers are all high quality--not cheap--which was very nice. It set up easy and was very sturdy. It was truly a lifesaver and gave me peace of mind. I was able to use it for the duration of the time I had the kittens until they were homed at 9 weeks of age.

Great but a b%€+& to try and refold!!
I bought this because we recently just got 2 kittens and a puppy. It was great to keep the kittens contained. It was also big enough that my husband could get in there and play with them. We have not used it on the puppy yet. The quality I'd great!!The reason I gave it a 3 instead of 4 or 5 is trying to fold it up an put it away!!! It is beyond infuriating!! There are no marking to help you!!! We have spent hours trying to figure this thing out. It is currently in a heep in the basement!! :-(I recommend this product but make sure you MARK it before you unravel. Looked easy to me. Guess I was wrong.
