I'm Deaf and That's Okay

Bought for my 9 year old daughter who thoroughly enjoyed this insightful, instantly engaging story of Timmy's first day in Year 2. It provides the perfect balance of the readers experience whilst being relatable to young readers and brought about some valuable conversations within the rest of the family about people who are deaf. She was excited to find additional activity pages towards the end of the book, and loved the illustrations. I have ordered another copy, as she has a classmate who like Timmy uses Hearing Aids and wants to share the book with her class. Highly recommended not just for its inspiring message, but because its a well written, illustrated and creative book with huge consideration for young readers!

Recommended, Great read, makes a great bedtime and daytime story. Gorgeous illustrations and fun activities. Kids loved it.A nice positive message for all children.

This is such a great book and my two deaf daughters really loved it. It really made them feel that being deaf is part of them and it’s something to be proud of.
