It can’t stay on my head when I sleep.

Good material but the problem is the inside of the cap is unlined. So the hair is not protected from rubbing when using it to sleep. It has to be double-sided silk inside and out. I bought this cap to protect my hair from getting friction from the pillow. But now because the cap is unlined with silk fabric I'm protecting my pillow getting rub with my hair! Manufacturer thinks before you sell!!!

This is not silk. It's significantly courser than my satin bonnets and isnt smooth on both sides. With that said, if you do use it (which you shouldn't), I'd sleep with it inside out. Also,jt doesn't have a label that indicates it's silk. Even if this weren't a cheap knockoff fabric, it wouldn't be good for protecting hair because its only constructed of one layer, so you'll still get lots of friction. While this isn't close to the quality of the lowest grade of silk, the higher the silk grade, the heavier and more dense it will be. This is a very, very thin material.

Purchased this after coming to understand that curly hair should be "tamed" and.satin helps with this a bit during sleep, in order NOT to wake up like Medusa!I have curly hair, chin length all one length. I wash approx every 2-3 days. I do not have a silk pillowcase. I ordered large, Mulberry silk cap.Pro's:1. Came nicely packaged and on time as expected. Was clean and folded.2. Came with sample piece of silk to test for allergies(I guess)3. I ordered the large, but, with average sized head, this was snug on me. It fit ok, but if I had lots of bulky or thicker hair, it wouldn't have all fit. I'd go up a size if I purchase again.4. Inside material is NOT the same as outer, I'm not an expert at silk, but im thinking its not silky inside, and so I will be turning it inside out this evening to try again5. My hair, it was tucked neatly up inside before bed, I woke up to nothing crazy, and I was able to revive the curls pretty well. So in that aspect, I'm happy for it doing what it said it could do.Cons:1. Runs small, in my opinion, and will be ordering larger next time. Head is average size...2. Isn't same material inside so I will turn inside out to take advantage of Mulberry silk.I will continue to sleep with and try it out after washing this eve.Now Oct 2, 2020. LOVE this cap! Comfy, stays put and love how my hair looks and softness that remains. Purchased another.July 2021, on my 7th cap(I love the colors) and I've gifted some tmy curly-headed friends. All of us extremely happy and so far, the ONLY one I can find anywhere completely made of silk that STAYS on at nite!! 😊

I really like silk sleeping hats. Finding a good one is hard work.I’m really not crazy about the colours this outfit offers. I prefer something a little more subtle and couldn’t find it. But that’s really a small matter.Other than that I’m happy. It’s easy to tie and even has extra room, which is a first. ***Update July 2021: I went ahead and got another. I chose this one on purpose because it’s the only one that had any extra room.They have changed a few things. The silk is still softer on the outside. For best results, turn it inside out. You’re sleeping, so it really doesn’t matter. It’s also much bigger. I’m guessing about 10cm/4” around, plus the hat part is much poof-ier for want of a better word. I have fairly long medium thickness hair. I wind it up at night to give it a wave next day without benefit of a curling iron. Even if I don’t, there’s plenty of room. The ties are even longer. I can almost go all the way round my head twice with these ties.Until they make the inside and outside the same, I’ll be staying with this style if only because I have the option to turn it inside out.The old one still works, but I’ve got so happy with how much easier my comb out is every morning. I don’t ever want to not have one ready for me every day.I hope this is helpful to someone. Thank you.
