Excellent use for video and film production
I have considered a communication system for a long time for my side / 2nd - full time video business. Price of some systems have detoured me greatly. I used a push to talk walkie talkie system for about the last 2 years and that was absolutely the pits! Systems like these can cost in the thousands and thousands of dollars. I have used the highest end systems same used by television networks to these. And as a side note I saw a “Warner Brothers” film crew shooting in Dallas Georgia using this exact system, I tell you no lie! I am not a paid reviewer I just want to share the good news I found here!Sound quality awesome!Noise cancels far better than the finer system I currently use at my 3rd job in media. Noise cancel meaning I can have the mic lowered which is on in a loud music hall and all listeners can hear me over the sound. It sort of lowers the far away sound and maximizes the sound closer to the mic, also known as a supercardioid condenser mic I presume. It is not a omi directional mic so that helps tediously. We can all three have our mics on and be talking at the same time while loud music is going on and we can communicate just fine! The music is muted very well leaving our voices as clear as talking on cell phone. This while in a theater pushing 95 decibels! Trick is use an earplug in your open ear. The head set has great insulation and cuts out background noise well. The volume on the units will go past your sound comfort level so great for the hard of hearing, maybe. My uses:I can communicate camera settings and what I want others to film so that we are not all shooting the same thing. This also prevents one camera being set to F4.0 while another is set to F1.6 making post editing difficult – because I can call out “go to F3.7….” or as I say 3, 7… etc. Its also great for just communication for everything while we are working too. Sometimes when your setting up, tearing down its great so you don’t have to yell. They do not hum buzz crackle pop or anything! The mics mute by simply lifting them strait up. Lower the mic down and the mic comes back on. All high end systems do this. This really is a high-end system in disguise – LOL They play the part of professionalism which I always say in my business – appearance is everything! You look low end you’ll be low end. Look high end you’ll be high end. Simple as that.Excellent Range! You can go a long way, further than we need to! - Range maybe not as far as the higher end systems out there but it’s no joke! We can be in a full size 2,000 seat theater and have crystal clear no static, hiss or buzz communication. It will easily signal through balcony’s and back stage without a problem.Battery life?I have yet to have one die. I did buy a 3 set system and got a total of 7 batteries. Added 4 batteries to go along with three that come with the system. I have pushed one for 5 hours strait, so I assume the 6 hours they promise is true.Comfort?Yes! They are adjustable and the earpad fit great around your ear. The headset is not to tight and does not dig in like some units I have used in my life.Ready to go!Out of the box they are already paired and ready for action. Turn the master on then the remotes give them a few seconds to register and boom there online.Quality?Great! They are not cheap looking. They work as advertised. Used them at 4 big events now. They seem to be holding up and I’ll keep them that way because I store them properly and I don’t bang any of my stuff around. I don’t care what it is, you toss it around it will cease life. Violence and electronics don't mix.I recommend if you need communication to your camera operators at a midrange price this is it! Go ahead a get them you want regret it.

Cannot give a high enough rating.. SO GREAT!
I owned a set of four older Eartec radios.. the kind with a big box that clips on your waste (or stand) and then separate headset. The units still work as well as they ever have (and we love that we can plug them in with A/C power for extended full-day gigs) -- but they had excessive hissing and noise which made them unpleasant to use.So we purchased these Eartec UltraLITE radios and -- LOVE THEM.We've used them a few times now and here's my experience:1. Virtually zero hissing/noise -- in our event the last two days, there was literally *no* unwanted noise -- so little that I didn't think they were on except when my crew was talking!2. IMPRESSIVE Range -- With the master and my crew at the back of a full-size theatre (100' from front to back), I exited the theatre and went another 30 feet back into another black box theatre -- through concrete walls.. and we maintained crystal clear conversation -- WOW3. QUICK Charging Batteries -- I think they must used Alien Tech to build this stuff.. the batteries presumably last about 6 hours (we haven't tested it that long but HAVE tested 4 hours without an issue), and charge fully in about *15 minutes* (or so it seemed) -- Incredible!!4. Flip-up-to-Mute -- Works as promised. Flip up the mic boom and no-one can hear your conversation.. simple!5. Comfortable headset --- but it is a little snug (we wear a small hat underneath). That said, I feel it's a good balance, tight enough to stay on as we move around, but not soo tight it is painful. Very much appreciate that the mic boom flips both directions so the unit can be worn on either ear. And lightweight -- LOVE not having that brick on our waste and wires!6. Published Frequency Specs -- I love that they operate outside any range that might interfere with theatre mics.. a great relief!TWO Improvements I'd like to see --1. Ability to disable the blue light (yes.. I know a wad of GAFF tape can cover that)2. An "OFF" button on all units which actually turns it off; the manual says that if the battery is left in it will continue to drain, so we habitually keep the batteries out before each gig. It would be way more convenient to be able to keep the batteries in. (perhaps I misunderstood and it drains so little that we can, in fact, keep them in the day before the gig??)3. The noise cancellation does not seem quite as good as our older units -- in a loud theatre with music playing, the booms do pick up the ambient sound somewhat, so we hear it come on and off through the system.. I think there is room for improvement hereHIGHLY recommend these units :-) :-)

Buy these right now for your yacht racing program
Purchased for a PHRF regatta where it was forecast to blow 20-30, and its hard enough to hear each other on a normal day across the boat when people are facing forward looking at the start line, other boats etc. - all i can say is GAME CHANGER. These head sets were comfortable, clear, minimal wind noise and allowed us to clearly communicate without yelling. Its an investment no doubt but these are great at this cost, work very well charge quickly and perform! Comfortable enough to wear for 2-3 hours and not even notice it or have a sore ear.

Great Product
We needed these for our church camera crew. We tried walkie-talkies and they were a major fail. We needed to communicate with each other and this was a great solution to our problem. My only complaint is that the on button on the main headset is pushed in and is difficult to turn on. We have to use a pointy object to get them on, we just don't want to go through the hassle of returning the item, this is the only reason I gave them 4 stars and not 5.
