Great Read!
After reading It Happened One Summer and loved it, I knew that I would need the second book as soon as possible. For me I found the book to be a little slow at the beginning. The trope for this book is friends to lovers and even though I understood the story and liked it I felt it was a little back and forth.I have always loved Hannah and Fox’s friendship and enjoyed seeing them work out their differences and overcome their insecurities.Through the middle of the book it started to pick up the pace a little. I wasn’t that engrossed in this book than the first one, but I enjoyed reading the little moments between Fox and Hannah and how they would wind each other up.I loved how they have cute nicknames for each other, bonded over music and vinyls and always knew when something was wrong with the other person.Towards the end of the book, when end up seeing a completely different Hannah and Fox than we did at the beginning. They have evolved into people they wanted to be with the help of each other. The epilogue at the end was the cutest part and a great ending to the book. I loved seeing Piper and Brendan and how their life turned out too. What I took from this book is that you shouldn’t listen to what other people think about you, or how you should act. But to focus on yourself and what you want in life…don’t let anyone rule your life.Overall, I did enjoy the book and the happy ending for them all 😁 x

A perfect slow burn fisherman friends to lovers
Hook Line and Sinker by Tessa Bailey was just a total dream romance book.I couldn’t stop reading this book, and yet I didn’t want it to finish.Tessa is one of my number one OG authors.. She never fails to make me feel all the things, and this book was no exception.I absolutely adored book 1 of this series and couldn’t wait to get back to Westport to see Fox and Hannah again.Fox our handsome playboy fisherman was just an absolute dream. He gave me Jasper vibes (Too Hot to Handle - Tessa Bailey. Highly recommended read) which as one of my all time favourite book hero’s, I couldn’t help but love. He had such deep and intense feelings, and seeing him have to work through everything had me all up in my feels.Hannah was so lovely. Watching her growth through the book was really satisfying. Her view of life and love of music both relatable and endearing. I don’t want to say too much more on the storyline because spoilers.Their connection was intense, but it was almost a slow burn. We didn’t get any series 🔥 time until about 70% in but in true Tessa fashion, when it comes, it sure comes! It was straight up fire, heat, connection.. the ever present dirty talk .. just everything I want and have come to expect from a Tessa book.I loved the prologue and epilogue of this book too. The set up of the prologue launches you straight into where Fox and Hannah are at in an interesting, entertaining way.. and the epilogue is like the cherry on top tying off our time in Westport in the most perfect way. I know that I’ve likely left a little piece of my heart in Westport with these fishermen.Another permanent memorable fave for me.Another smash hit for Tessa!Highly recommend this book.

cute romcom
this book was REALLY cute, i liked fox and hannah! it was fun listening to it on audiobook, there were some really sweet and funny moments between them. the spice was good. i didn’t love it as much as i loved it happened one summer, but it was still enjoyable. maybe i’m not a massive fan of third person? still liked it🥰 epilogue was really cute, if you’re in the mood for a cute romcom this is right up your street😊tropes: small town, friends to lovers, reformed playboy.

Hook, line and sinker by Tesa Bailey
This book follows on from Piper Bellinger finding love in a small fishing village and stays. Hannah the youngest sister comes back to the village for work with her film crew colleagues. She has kept in touch with Fox Thornton. These two have the hots for each other. But neither one will act on it deciding to remain friends. This book is fantastic. The sexual tension rolls off the pages. Highly recommended. Get reading

AWESOME READ
Hook, Line And Sinker is the second book of (Bellinger Sisters series) by Tessa Bailey. I couldn't wait to read this book. I fell in love with Tessa’s book when reading, It Happened One Summer. The first book in the series. Except this time it is Hannah and Fox’s story. I loved the fact that we still got scenes with Piper and Brendan and other characters that were in book 1.I couldn't wait to return back to Washington, Westport and our favourite fishing town. Hannah as we know from the previous book is Piper's little sister. Hannah returned home to go back to her job and the one she has a big crush on is Sergi, the writer and producer of the film company. The only difference now is she texts and stays in touch with Fox, the player she spent time down westport with and became friends. Nothing could ever happen between Fox and Hannah as she doesn't want to be another of his girl flings. With Hannah now working back in the small town of westport for work with the film crew. Fox agrees to let her crash at his place and help her catch the eye of Sergi. But being just friends is becoming a struggle and Hannah can't decide where her feelings lie with the crush she has for Sergi, or can she trust her heart that she is not just another girl fling to Fox. I loved that we got to know Fox’s life a lot deeper and I felt so sorry for him, you realise Fox is hiding a lot of feelings of his past life and he cares an awful lot about how people see him. I absolutely loved this book, there was laughter and teary moments and a lot of fun. As much as I love the Fox and Hannah story, It Happened One Summer is still my favourite out of the two Bellinger sisters series. What can I say Brenden stole my heart lol. This is still a world I love to come and escape for a little. The ending was perfect and adored so much. Can't wait to read more of your books Tessa, they bring happiness to my face.

better than the first one
I actually like this one better than the first one. Fox was a funner character and I really liked Hannah. Compared to piper and Brendan. The only thing that was a bit of a turn off was the “dirty talk”. Some of it was good, but a lot of it was very cringe. I can’t imagine anyone saying that in real life but overall the story was really nice, and I cried a lot when it had to do with her discovering more about her father. What I found was missing from. Both books was their mother. It just seemed like the mother didn’t really care that both of her daughters return to where she was from and got involved with fisherman exactly like she had, and it was such a traumatic event for her that she completely moved out of that city, and never spoke to anybody ever again, including family, and this was not touched on in the book at all which I found odd. It seems as though she had no real connection to her daughters even in the epilogue in this book it’s 10 years later and they’re celebrating Christmas and her mother is not there so it’s just a bit weird.

lets talk about why im so disappointed
Ok so like always tessas books has so much cuteness. THAT part i loved about the book. what made me actually angry is because hannah is really a angel and fox is so traumatized about seriously NOTHING that he can be stupid. so stupid. I didnt like the problem with fox because there was actually no problem.*spoiler*so....... he sleeps around SO WHAT? because of one girl a long time ago he cant move on? he cant appreciate what is right in front of him? that is crazy. And he talks like he is some kind of victim like, honey nobody forced you to sleep around, it was your choice so own it and move on.but what made me the most angry its because of how muchhhh time they spent talking about this absurd reason. they didnt just move on with the book, it keeps going and going and the actual good part, the actual part where they stay together is JUST IN THE END. LIKE COME ON PEOPLE GET IT TOGETHER.I want a book that i can see the couple develop TOGETHER IN THE RELATIONSHIP. that is totally not in this book and its why im so disappointed.

A top 2022 favorite. This story and its characters swept me away!
Where do I even start?! This book made my heart ache in the best way possible. While It Happened One Summer was sheer rom-com perfection and one that I was borderline obsessed with, this one took me by absolute surprise. I have to say, I may actually love this book more than the first, which is saying a lot as IHOS set a very high bar. I just really, really LOVED it. I honestly was not prepared for the emotional journey Hook, Line, and Sinker took me on. It’s honestly one of the best friends-to-lovers romance books I’ve ever read, and it’s clear that Tessa Bailey has poured her heart and soul into writing this book.I've been impatiently waiting for Fox and Hannah’s love story ever since this couple were introduced in It Happened One Summer and this book seriously delves into their relationship in a way I wasn’t anticipating. The opening to this book was PERFECTION, and it really showcased how their connection was built. I knew after the Fleetwood Mac album moment in IHOS that Fox and Hannah were soulmates, and every single page of this book just proved it. The banter, the angst, and the PINING were all absolute perfection. Their honesty was real and raw, and the depth of their relationship had my heart melting and aching in equal measure, and I don’t think I will ever forget the way they made me feel with their romance. It was the most exquisite slow burn, heartfelt, friends-to-lovers story. And seeing the vulnerable side of Fox affected me deeply. He is such an intricately crafted and complicated character with a depth to him that I never ever saw coming. My heart broke for this beautifully broken man. I've never read anything like that from a male character before and I truly appreciated how Tessa Bailey wrote his story. And Hannah, what a beautiful, precious soul. She’s incredibly relatable with big dreams, and I adored her and her love for music. The fierce way she fights for Fox in ways that I’ve never seen a heroine done so before—fights for him to trust her, to believe in her, to keep her. Watching her help Fox realise his true potential and character was absolutely everything. Their relationship and their love is so breathtakingly beautiful that it almost left me breathless.Without a doubt, this one of my top reads and I don’t think I’ll get over this high that Fox and Hannah have put me in for a long, long time. It’s the kind of high I endlessly chase and it’s the kind of book I want to keep on reading forever because I'm so effortlessly and hopelessly in love with the characters and their rich, heartfelt relationship. I'm not ready to leave Westport and the grizzled fishermen who live there. This series will be a forever favourite of mine that I'll continue to revisit over and over.
