My first impression was that the packaging was great and the quality was excellent. It is a little pricey but after seeing the quality, it’s worth it. I was worried that the hummingbirds would be afraid of it and would just use the other feeders. They initially flew around it a bit and investigated the top to see if the food was there, but they quickly discovered that the feeder was still there below and they have no problem at all. I purchased the 11” version with the yellow center first and then got 2 more if those and the 14” one. The birds are fine w all of them, but the 14” gives a little more protection for the larger feeder and provides more shade as well. I’m going to buy one more 14” so all of the feeders have them. Definitely recommend!

The media could not be loaded. I'm usually a DIY-type person. It did cross mind to make this myself using any plastic dish, but I really needed this set-up to look pretty & neat! It's not just for the hummingbirds, it should look pretty to me too! :)I bought this beautiful glass-blown feeder on Amazon and this 11" version of the "umbrella" fits perfectly over the feeder. Protects the nectar from getting watered down by the constant rains in Seattle! It also has an in-built ant moat on top. Be sure to fill water in the ant moat before you hang this over the feeder. It looks like it would last long. Not flimsy or thin. It looks pretty and works well. I do recommend this product. I think it is definitely value for money!

This rain guard is so cute and does a great job keeping the rain and hot sun away. It is very sturdy and I like the built in ant guard in the top. The color has not faded at all this summer which I am very happy about. It even came with a storage bag for when it is not in use during the winter. Thank you!

The media could not be loaded. Absolutely love these! I use them above my humming bird feeders! Keeps the liquid feeder in the shade and helps attract the hummingbirds! Well made and so pretty!! Came very well packaged and took seconds to screw in the supplied hooks (2 lengths to choose from). Great value, light weight and fits nicely over feeder!

I just took my hummingbird feeders down for the winter and washed everything to put away until the spring. I am so happy with my purchase of these hummingbird feeder canopies! They are nice and sturdy - no cheap plastic on these! The colors today (October 2024) are just as vibrant as when I first got them last year! Well worth the money and nice shades to help keep the hot sun off of the feeder. I definitely recommend these!

I was lucky enough early in 2023 to have a hummingbird nest right outside my kitchen window. I watched as Momma raised two beautiful little chicks.But it was unusually cold and we had months of atmospheric river storms - Momma was lying on top of the chicks to keep them warm (not normal for a hummingbird) and I couldn't keep the little feeders free of rain water which dilutes, contaminates and causes weird molds in the food.Somewhat in desperation, I purchased this cover and it worked so much better than I expected and kept the food source pure. I was still having to fill the feeder a couple of times a day (when it's really cold if you provide the birds with warm water they don't have to use so much energy when they drink it so I was filling the feeders I have at 6am (dawn) to help them survive, and they would drink it dry over the course of the day (I think there were other nests in the area.The 2 chicks and momma survived and all flew off at the end of February and I totally credit this little cover helping that outcome.It is now 10 months later and I was just looking at the cover and it still looks pristine - as if I bought it yesterday. It is robust and exactly what I needed.So I have come back to order a cover for my other feeder and to leave this well deserved review.If you are new to hummingbirds and feeders - try to avoid plastic in the feeders, the birds don't need our toxins.Humming bird food can be made with 1 cup sugar to 4 cups water. Always boil the water for two minutes to get rid of impurities, add the sugar and then cool. Once cooled fill the feeders and store the rest in the fridge. The feeders should be cleaned every two weeks, and be careful not to leave any soap residue in the feeder. Add fresh food added as needed. Do not keep the refrigerated sugar water mix in the fridge longer than a month. If rain or bugs get in the feeder wash it out ASAP and put new food in immediately or you will find all sorts of nasty mold growing.And thank you for looking out for our wildlife - together we can all make a difference!
