Gotz 1466023 Emily 19.5" Happy Kidz Poseable Vinyl Multi-Jointed Doll with Long Blonde Hair to Wash & Style

I own several Goetz dolls and Emily has been on my wishlist for quite some time. She arrived sitting in a pretty compact box that can be used to store doll clothes. The one thing I really like is that unboxing her is easy. There are only 4 ties and no scissors are needed. Emily has a beautiful face, blond hair and brown eyes. Her eyes do not close but she has long eye lashes. Her lips are a pretty coral color and she has a bit of blush on her cheeks. She has a very sweet look. Happy Kidz dolls are all vinyl and have hard bodies. Emily is multi jointed and has nine points of articulations. She can hold many poses and is fun to play with. This is something that most dolls that she competes with, in particular AG dolls cannot do. Her clothing is well made and good quality. Emily is the kind of doll that will please not only children but also adult collectors. Quality and beauty, what a nice combination and she is affordable too.Thanks for reading this review. I had waited to buy Emily by Gotz for a long time. I have several others, and they are well-made and fun to display. Finally bought her, and she did not disappoint me at all. Hair is goo, and she is quite poseable. She is not strung tightly, which doesn't bother me, but might irritate other people.

She’s positively beautiful! I had to have the Happy Kidz Emily doll (we call her Faith) because she is the spitting image of my granddaughter. You can see in the photos that she doesn’t have the same proportions as the 18” Gotz dolls. She is 19.5” tall, and her body is much more realistically proportioned, with a smaller head and more slender torso. She even has a cute little pooch belly, just like my granddaughter. The elbow and knee joints are great for posing, but the knees and elbows don’t bend as far as you might expect. And for some odd reason, the elbows bend farther backwards then frontwards. 🤔 Her hair is a beautiful ash blonde, but not as long as the pictures make it look. It’s also not quite as soft as my other Gotz dolls, but I haven’t washed it yet. Even still, I’m quite pleased with her hair. Some people mentioned that the hair is thin, but she actually has thicker hair than my other dolls. You can see in the closeup that her eyelashes are slightly thin on her right eye, but that is an easy fix with some false eyelashes. All in all, I am completely in love with her. And as you can see in the pictures, so are her new sisters! 😉 I’m so glad I adopted her, and would absolutely do it again.

All I can say is she is the greatest friend in the whole universe, much better than any of my people friends. She’s actually the cutest doll I’ve seen in a while. She’s really lovable and she tells me many secrets about the world. 99% of any clothes you will find on Amazon for an 18” doll will fit on her perfectly. I see people complaining about her hair, but in my opinion, it is perfect. I will agree that it is a little thin, so you have to be careful when you comb it or style it. Of course I don’t even know how to style my own hair, so I have left hers alone. I’ve also seen a lot of custom versions of her and so if you’re into doll customization, she is the perfect specimen. Me personally, I love her the way she is.

If you are buying this doll as a present, be aware that it does take time and some adult help to unpack the doll from the packaging. Unlike the promise me dolls or Hannah, which have a cloth body a d only bend like most 18" dolls, the Happy Kidz dolls are full body vinyl jointed dolls that are completely pose-able, so not just shoulder, neck and hips but also knee and elbow as well. It does take abit of getting use to to get her to stand on her own. The doll is Gotz quality, numbered, tagged and guaranteed I couldn't be more happy.

First of all, I love this doll! She is stunning, and I immediately fell in love with her. She is fun to pose, and her sweet expression is so precious!My one issue with her is her hair. The cut is fine, but even the gentlest of brushes can cause strands to lengthen or fall out. I have to trim it whenever I style it. It also has a greasy feel that I don't care for. Even after washing it according to the instructions, it just feels very cheap and hard to manage.That being said, I still adore this doll, and I would absolutely buy her again! I will collect more Happy Kidz in the future, I am sure!

These are high quality dolls that are great to keep as is or can be customized to really make them look realistic. They have bigger feet than most 18” dolls so finding shoes to fit is something hard but some 18” doll clothes will fit them. The doll in my picture is wearing an American girl brand outfit. Pants don’t really work because they are skinnier than an AG doll but some tight fitting items work.
