7 Pairs Traveler Men's Shoe Heel Plates Taps with Nails - Small

These taps come with nails, but I used the adhesive backing to attach them to my rubber soled shoes (I tend to wear down the outside heel). They are a bit smaller than I expected, but seem to be working. I attached them to the worn area to make the sole level again and avoid straining my ankles. So far, the adhesive (a rubber type adhesive) is working well to keep the taps attached. I don't like to use nails as they tend to scratch the floor. A bit over an inch and a quarter long and just over half an inch wide.

A bit bigger than expected, I cut it to make it fit. Easy to use, makes my heels last a lot longer.

I have my favorite boots which I have been wearing a quite for awhile, so it’s wore out one side of heel.So I purchased this product to protect heel. I know I can bring it to shoes repair shop to fix, but this is cheap option and it is working so far.

Nails included are a joke! NOT useable! Nail heads are too large too fit in recess so as to not scratch floors.Adhesive tape on each plate allows the plate to slide on shoe heel.I removed the included adhesive and reattached with "Shoe-Fix Shoe Glue: Instant Professional Grade" ordered at same time.Still holding after a couple days.Oct 9, 2018, Update. I had to remove these heel plates. They leave black marks on the linoleum! Hard to believe plastic would leave black, ugly marks on the floor. And they were difficult to remove. I had finally attached them with "Shoe-Fix Shoe Glue" that I bought at the same.That glue was fantastic, I had to cut the heel plates from the heels of my shoes.Changing to ONE star because of marking floors!

Shoe plates are good overall. The glue, however, does not stick, even after proper cleaning. One can not always use the nails on all parts of the shoe.

Was hoping to quite down my plastic, clicking heels with these. I tried just using the glue backing, no nails and first wear they came off. Also they are still noisy! Clicking was softer than regular plastic heels, but still very noticable when walking on any hard surface. So I didnt bother with trying to nail in and just tossed the rest of them. I guess if you are repairing a worn heel it would be ok, but you will have to nail in , which will add more metal noise to your walk on hard surfaces. Found that using traction soles( safe step) with some gorilla glue has quieted my heals and did not add any height!

Loved getting these!!! They have saved my shoes and given them longer life! A real money saver!!!

As someone else mentioned in another review, the tack heads are too large and do not fit into the little recessed areas of the taps; therefore the tacks aren't usable unless you have something to cut down the tack heads with. It's very unfortunate, because I was really looking forward to putting these on the heels of my shoes. I'll be going to a Big Box store to see if I can find appropriate size tacks or something I can cut down the metal heads with.
