Oilatum Bath Formula 300ml, for Itchy Irritating Dry Skin Conditions

Our infant son developed a nasty case of eczema around three months. It started off around his legs and quickly spread in a matter of a few months it was almost every where. His groin and bum were spared thankfully. He scratched all the time and for those few months his hands were wrapped in socks to keep him from making things worse. Finally our family doctor said that it was time to consult a dermatologist, after exhausting most of the creams and ointments on the market. After seeing the dermatologist a couple of times and using their own Cliniderm cream, which was helping immensely but just wasn't quit getting it, he recommended Oilatum. We used it for two months after and his skin transformed. Last month we tried to buy some more and our local Walmart was out. We went to several different Walmart's , pharmacies and stores. We found out the product was listed as discontinued in some of the pharmacists data bases. That's when I hit the internet and found some here on Amazon. It's was shipped fast considering it's coming from the UK. It arrived in good condition and we can now return to treating our son's skin. Why you would discontinue such a product is beyond my understanding. Stiefel, the company that produces this product, was bought by a huge company called Glaxo Smith Kline in 2009. Recently they've transferred manufacturing of several products from their pharmaceutical division to their consumer based products division and apparently some of the products transferred are being evaluated for further production or not. This product seems to have been dropped. Large corporations protecting their bottom line don't care much about my son, but I do.

So thankful this bath soap exists, it helped by baby’s eczema! Tried different brands and this is the only brand that a actually did its job! Why is this not available in US store.

Best bath oil on the market - two capsful in an oversized tub is plenty. It doesn't sit on the surface like regular oils, and has absolutely no scent so its good for both me and my man. Takes care of the itchies we get when the air turns dry in Winter.

Works great for my kiddo with eczema but WOW does using it regularly get expensive quick.Give me a giant jug of oilatum with a pump and drop the price by half per/ml for such a bulk deal and I'd buy a couple jugs TODAY.Again, great stuff, but buying 300ml for almost $20 every couple weeks is getting rediculous.

The best for stopping itchy skin after showering, taking a bath and even after chlorine pool swimming.

Only product that works this well for babies & kids, to keep eczema at bay, skin smooth & soft so they do not have to scratch.

Neither the bottle nor the box were sealed.I've had an issue with facial irritation so I've avoided soap, facial cleaners etc. I purchased this product since it seems to help ease eczema irritations etc. just used it this evening.Can't really rate it yet but so far it feels nice.
