I'd bought a pair of "yellow" vice jaws much like this one that were advertised to fit 3"-6" vices.My heavy duty bench vice is 3". The "yellow" jaws had magnets spaced far too wide for BOTH magnets to attach to the jaws of my vice at the same time. At best, I got 1 and a bit of another. That the magnets weren't very strong made me shove them back into the packing and submit a return.These jaw pad covers have the magnets spaced rationally, so that it can be shifted left or right on a 3" vice to fit with BOTH magnets adhering to the jaws and staying in place. The gripping power of the magnets is far better .I opted for this because of the pipe holding - a feature I need more and more in my crafting. There are other padded jaws made specifically for 3" vices, but they don't really work very well on pipes - at least not as well as something like this does, with enough give to conform to various diameter pipes and possessing enough hold to hang on to them through drilling, sawing, etc. without crushing or marring the pipe.It does what I need it to do in all respects, and has no down-sides. That merits 5 stars.

They do what they're supposed to do and sufficiently soft and rubber so as to not mar surfaces.

Be sure to check that the magnets are secure. Two came out but easily glued. Great for golf club repair and other things you don’t want to scratch.

I was tired of wrecking delicate stuff in my viseThese work perfect! However when I took off magnets stayed on vise! Simple fix, a dot of superglue under each magnet, let dry 30 minutes your good to go, I used to hold a billet oil filter from turning no marks

Durability was my main issue with this product. Use them for taking an old set of Gun sights off a Glock and one of them is pretty much trashed. When you use them where the flat side is in on your Weiss to hold the slide, they tend to roll.

Magnets fell out on the first use. I guess it's not that big of a deal since the vise will clamp the jaws in place too, it just makes positioning a bit harder since you have to make sure neither jaw shifts or falls out of place. I haven't gotten around to sticking them back on.

These vice clamps are too soft and didn’t therefore hold onto the metal cylinder that I specifically bought them for. Really disappointed so now looking for a firmer version.
