Sometimes the old school ice packs are the best!
I purchased these while suffering from pain associated with a pinched nerve in my neck. I had been using the re-usable gel and clay based ice packs that you can get at any local Walgreens or CVS and found that they were not as Cold as using normal ice. I like these because you can fill them with just the right amount of ice and they will conform to the neck or arm or wherever you use them much better than some of the other options. I had ZERO problems with leaking and they would only start to have a little perspiration on the outside form after using them for more than 2 hours. The best part of this kit is the elastic/velcro strap with the hole in it which goes around the opening. Since I was using this to wrap around my neck, I was able to strap the ice pack in place and had much better luck with it staying in place instead of having to try to balance it there or holding it myself. Well worth the minimal cost for this set and it proved a good alternative to the normal gel/clay based re-usable packs. As long as you have ice available, you'll have relief using these!

The WRAP is CRAP
I have no problem with the bags, at least I haven't yet. My problems are with the band. First off, the velcro (hook portion) is in 2 patches which have been sewed onto each end of the main band. Problem is that they are sewn onto different sides of this band. That means that when you rotate the band, around your arm or leg, the velcro hooks end up in the same place... hooks to hooks. Well, velcro hooks do not adhere to velcro hooks. Consequently you have to fold in one velcro hook patch so that the other hook patch can connect to the band itself. That makes this main band considerable shorter and extremely difficult to work with. The next problem is that the velcro patches are so LARGE. Admittedly you want more than a tiny patch of velcro hooks because you are dependent on them holding the band, and consequently the ice bag, in place. But, in my experience, this patch of velcro hooks is simply too large. It catches on everything as you are trying to put the band in place although that is not a major problem. The next problem is that there is no velcro 'receiver' patch to match the hook patch. The only choice you have is to adhere the hook patch to the band itself and the band is not intended for that purpose. How do I know this? Because the velcro hooks are tearing the hell out of the band material. Eventually they will destroy the band whereby the band will come to the end of its useful live much, much sooner than if it had a, or several, velcro receiver patches sew on the correct side of the band. The next problem is that there was no 16.7" extension wrap included in the box. The boxes label of contents is glued onto a plain (i.e, a cheap) brown box and it lists the extension wrap but whoever filled my box failed to put the extension wrap in it.I gave this review one star because the wrap issue is sufficiently enough of a pain in the ass that I would never have bought this product if I had been warned about this inferior wrap.

I absolutely LOVE these, BUT...
I REALLY love this set! It is SO convenient, not only, to have the varying sizes, but also to have the strap to hold them in place. It's great when my knee hurts (I have a torn muniscus) to be able to strap one of these on and not have to worry about it falling every time I slightly adjust my leg. I can actually even walk short distances with one on. The ONLY reason I gave it 4 starts & not 5 is because the smallest one, which I particularly loved because it is PERFECT for toothaches, has sprung a leak and I can unfortunately no longer use it. I really wish I could replace just that one and re-complete the set... 😞 Especially now because I have a horrible dentist appointment next week 😢.

Handy for travel
We bought these to take with us on our month long cruise, since I had a torn rotator cuff. They were handy to have and convenient for travelling. (Our stateroom attendant filled the bag up with ice if we left it out for him to do that.) The ice bags can leak though ... at the opening, so I'm not sure I would call them "no-leak". It wasn't a big leaking, but it was enough to keep this product from getting 5 stars.

Warm praise for a cool product
Only two days before my European vacation, I injured my back. The pain was severe and led me to consider cancelling my trip. Then my friend found these ice bags on Amazon. I received them just before I left and asked the stewardess to fill them with ice for my 6 hr flight. I was amazed to find my pain was gone after sitting on the bags. I also used them at night to reduce pain and sleep soundly. These bags are the perfect alternative to pain medication. They never leaked despite continuous use. Tomorrow I have another 6 hr flight and my trusty ice bags will be with me. The only care I give them is to empty and airbdry them before reusing them.

Great buy. Don't know why I didn't buy sooner.
Great bags. Soft blue material, slightly fuzzy, so they aren't rough on your skin. They don't form condensation of the outside, so you don't have to worry about getting your clothes or anything else wet while using them. The elastic band is nice for holding the bags in place, especially on awkward spots (i.e., elbows, ankles) so you don't have to re-position them if you sift your weight. We have used both several times now, and have not had a leaking problem.Overall, far superior to using a plastic bag for icing injuries. I wish I had bought a set sooner.

Ice Bags.
These are great for any disorder that you need ice for. They are easy to fill with Ice, the large one is great for going across the back, and the belt will help hold it in place.I have extreme back pain and Doctor said if it hurts to touch, use ice on the area. So I am on an ice pack most of the time.I just forget about it being there, and it doesn't leak, like my zip lock bag did. :)I myself prefer to use ice rather than the ones you have to freeze so this is really nice.
