Yes, this bag is 100% the size as advertised and fits within the Frontier personal (free) item if packed correctly. You can’t have everything jammed in there and puffed out like a marshmallow. You must use packing compression cubes to keep things organized. We personally have 1 or 2 compression cubes per travel bag for our clothing. We also have 1 clear TSA approved zipper cosmetic bag in each(sunscreen, toothpaste, shampoo, etc). We then have 1 to 2 neoprene smaller laptop cases in each bag (for medication, goggles, kids small stuffed animals, chargers, etc). Lastly, a pair of extra shoes and even some snacks. The key with NOT getting charged at the gate is keeping your items to retain their shape. If everything falls to the bottom and gets marshmallow puffy, you are going to run into issues at the gate and be forced to pay for your bag. If you keep your items tight and compact in the rectangular shape, you are good to go with it being free as your personal item. ****Don’t over pack the bag.****I bought 5 of them. The quality isn’t the best but it’s not the worst I have ever seen either. For $8.99 to $13.99, there is no difference in the quality of the bags and I should have just gotten all the $8.99 ones. The quality isn’t going to last forever. I am expecting a few uses out of one bag. (Yes, I have flown with these bags successfully with Frontier as our 1 free personal item. Fit perfectly in personal size item bin! Spend the extra couple bucks and get the thick series with a shoulder strap, makes lugging it around an airport a bit easier and the thick fabrics helps it hold its shape. Fits a surprising amount of stuff, we packed for a 5 day trip, brought an Xbox, fit my normal purse inside and extra shoes and they all fit! It helps though that one of the bags was for my toddler so her bag still had a lot of room since her clothes are little and we also had a summer trip so no bulky clothes. Highly recommend for shorter trips to avoid paying crazy fees!

I bought this to save myself having to check a bag for a 3 day stay in Vegas. I didn’t realize I didn’t get the one with the strap. I’d probably suggest you get that if you’re going to stuff the bag like I did. Thankfully my mom had a suitcase so I put it on top of her bag, otherwise it wouldn’t have been go lugging it around. It fits a ton and I’ve used it for short trips and it works great. No weird plastic smell or anything that takes off stars. I’ve gotten compliments on the baby pink color too!

The straps do dig in a bit but that’s to be expected w how much I stuffed in the bag lol. It fit perfectly in the little carry on checkpoint and when our spirit flight was full there was a huge line of people having to check their bags at cost and my bf and I got waved straight onto the plane with just a glance at our 2 carry ons. I was able to fit outfits/shoes/toiletries for a 4 days trip and also had some room for anything I bought there. I’ll be using this on any flight from now on.

The bag feels cheap when I took it out and didn’t think it would hold what I needed for my trip. I was able to fit a pair of skates, wrist and knee pads, a change of clothes, a book and water bottle (no water of course). It held up great with no issues! If I can get a few more uses out of it considering the price I’d be extremely satisfied.

Packed 4 outfits, 2 swim suits, 1 pair of shoes, toiletry bag, and makeup bag with room for an iPad and charging cables. Thin material but sturdy enough for quick trips. Fits nicely under the seat and is easy to carry. No one gave us a second look about the size while boarding on Frontier. Would recommend for weekend trips as personal item.

Tons of room for a personal item! I had a carry on (due to the length of my trip) and used this as my personal item on my Frontier flight and I had so much more room than my usual backpack personal item. No frills, cheap, and feels pretty durable as long as you don't overfill it. Perfect bag if you're trying to save a few bucks on a checked/carry-on bag.LIKES: Trolley pass through, perfect size, color selection, water resistantDISLIKES: The shoulder strap felt weak so I swapped it for another strap from a different duffel I own. Material is really loud.

This bag saved us $140 on our last trip! It fits perfectly into the sizing bin on Frontier Airlines, and we did not have to spend $70 for a carry on bag! It fits under the seat and carried 3 days worth of clothes just perfectly. Roll those shirts up, and try to pack tight. Laptop goes on the long side, don't try to put the laptop on the top of the bag or it may be too thick at the top to clear the sizing bin. Fabric is ok, don't expect this to last forever, but it's cheap and great to save $$$ on weekend trips.

I bought this bag as a gift. I already have a similar on which zips up into itself as a small package when not in use. I thought this would do the same but was disappointed to find it doesn't. Otherwise the product is as shown - lightweight, fairly sturdy material, not many pockets but good for packing clothes etc for a short stay or travel. Good value.

This bag was great for my Frontier flight, I was nervous that the bags I had might be too big so ordered this last minute before a trip to Florida and it was perfect! Fit a lot and was better quality then I expected. For sure recommend!
