I love this! I used to straighten my hair daily, and it ruined my hair. Now I only use this, and it has brought life back to my hair (that with good conditioning routines) I even use it to freshen up my look on no wash days. I mist my hair so it becomes a bit humid, and then pass through with the dryer a few times, and looks great! Very natural look. Keeps my hair nice in my humid climate

This is amazing. Picture is my 3rd go at using it, and first time using it with completely wet hair. I was worried with my fine hair that it was going to pull out or damage, but it does not. The bristles keep your hair far enough away from the metal it shouldn’t caused any heat damage. Full blowout look in 30 minutes, and helps a ton with frizz. I use Low setting, High setting is HOT and LOUD but worth it if that’s your hair type.

I already had the other Revlon 1-step volumizer and hair dryer brush and was a big fan, but once I cut my hair shorter (it's now a shoulder-length bob), it didn't work very well for me anymore. My dream product was an old (cheap!) Babyliss hair dryer brush I bought around 30 years ago on a trip to London; I've kept it around because it's useful for travel in 220-240v countries. It was a great styling tool -- had a 1" barrel size and removable brush top so you could rough dry your hair just using the hot air out of the nozzle before styling it with the blow drying brush. Unfortunately, I dropped and broke it on a recent trip to Peru and so I was motivated to see if I could find a replacement suitable for everyday use in the US. Thought this Revlon 1-step root booster round brush might be the one! And it IS good, but it's not everything. First, the barrel size is still a little too large at 1.5"; I think a 1" barrel would be better. Second, it would be great to be able to remove the brush head for a rough dry (and maybe to be able to put on different attachments like a larger or smaller brush barrel or even a metal curling iron attachment, which would be heated by the hot air. Third, this dryer is insanely LOUD. In order to protect my ears, I've taken to using earplugs while I use this dryer. I don't feel the need to do that with any of my other blow dryers. Fourth, as others have noted, it does get extremely hot. The "hi" heat setting is almost unusable unless you want to fry your hair. I use this only on the "lo" heat setting, and then only after a rough dry with another hair dryer, and even the low setting is pretty hot. Lastly, the "cool" setting isn't very cool, and because the setting switch twists around the bottom of the dryer, it can be a little awkward to change the setting from a heat setting to a cool setting while the brush is in your hair (which is obviously when you'd most like to do it). A "cool shot" button placed further up the barrel would be much more user-friendly.All this said, it's a pretty decent blow-dry brush for a moderate price. It adds volume and I can finish drying my hair whilst styling it at the same time, which is good. If Revlon were to address all the issues described above, it would be an AMAZING tool (and I would pay more money for it, too)!

This blow dry brush makes it easy to dry and style hair simultaneously, reducing styling time and the need for multiple tools. One step styling is convenient. Easy to achieve volume with less frizz. A close blow out to what you get from a salon. Good size, not heavy or bulky to use. Also can be used to touch up hair in between washings.

This quickly dries my hair, nicely lifts the roots for volume. The curl (if that's what you're looking for) stays in place. That said, there are two things: it's loud, even on the low setting, and it can get hot on the low setting after using it for five minutes.

I bought the larger dryer brush from Revlon a while back and returned it. My hair was much longer than it is now. It wasn’t for me. I recently cut 10 inches off. My hair is slightly above my shoulders. Blow drying with a round brush wasn’t giving me the body I wanted. I did searches to find a good dryer brush for shorter hair, read reviews & looked at posted photos. When I saw this smaller brush, I decided to give it another chance. The barrel wasn’t as small as I envisioned but it’s definitely smaller. Holy Cow! This made everything SO much easier and took less time. I actually looked like I had a (semi 😂) professional blowout. I was so happy, I tossed my flat iron out & might do the same with my blow dryer. This is a fabulous tool without breaking the bank!

I bought a similar item about 10 years ago. For the past year I have been looking for a replacement because the bristles were very damaged. I have purchased 2 that I thought would work but they didn't for a number of reasons. I just bought this one and have used it a few times. I finally was able to throw my old one away because this did the job every time. I am delighted that I finally found a replacement at a very reasonable cost.

Is it loud? Yes, absolutely. That is the reason for 4 stars. Is it hot? Well duh, I want it to dry my hair so yes it’s hot. Just use common sense when using this dryer. The before & after pictures I’m posting with this review are literally 5 minutes apart. I just wanted to try it really quick. My hair was completely dry. But please look at the volume I got in just a couple of minutes. I can just imagine how great it will work when I spent the proper amount of time on my hair. I already have the larger revlon version and love that one too. It dries and straightens my hair very quickly. I wanted this one for a little more curl and as you can see, mission accomplished. Oh and the price wasn’t too bad either!
