Crazy good
I was a teenager living in South Wales during the 70's rockabilly revival movement but never got to see Crazy Cavan in concert unfortunately. This collection sums up the time period. Exciting times indeed with many bands from around the country converging to this small part of the country. The Rythym Rockers had an energy and style that made them the pioneers of the rockabilly revival. They inspired many up and coming bands of the time. They will always be considered as the forefathers of modern rockabilly. This collection is a must.Rockabilly rules...OK

Some Important Early Recordings Missing
This CD contains 30 tracks recorded from 1975 to 1979. Not included are their first recordings (including their first single) from 1973, which can be found on "The Way It Was" CD released in 2006. Likewise the 4 tracks on their 1974 EP, "Teddy Boy Rock 'n' Roll", "Wildest Cat In Town", "My Little Teddy Girl", and "Rockabilly Star" are also not included, although later recorded versions are. It could be a copyright problem, all these early recordings being for the Crazy Rhythm label. However this, together with the booklet errors (see below), and the tracks not being in chronological sequence, is why I have deducted a star. For information, 5 tracks (20, 21, 22, 29, and 30) are recorded "live".The CD is accompanied by a 24 page booklet, but the notes contain several errors. For example it states that their LP "Redhot 'n' Rockabilly" was recorded on 5th June 1979. It was actually a best of compilation album.Overall the rockabilly sound produced by the group is excellent, as are their song writing skills. No less than 25 of the 30 tracks were written by group members, mostly Cavan Grogan.
