Protein Essentials Collagen for Dogs, All Natural Supplement, NonGMO Marine Collagen and Beef Gelatin

My dog was limping badly just a month after having had one knee surgery and the vet advised the other knee was also in need of surgery. So thought I would try a gelatin supplement to see if could delay the surgery. After two weeks my little dog was walking around pain free. After three weeks she was playful, no longer showing any weakness in her leg. It's been about a month and she is now walking twice as far with no adverse effect. Don't know if will need to do surgery at all but it certainly is not an emergency at this point. She loves the gravy addition to her food. Only thing I am not happy about is the directions for dosage. Needs to be more clear ... what's a scoop. And usually supplement for pet would be based on weight. So went with a teaspoon a day mixed with a little bit of water to make a gravy.

Ok, the protein factor was great, my dog loved it and it helped with her wound care and shiny coat...But.. and I write this after 3 separate times of going off and on this product just to make sure I wasn’t crazy.. on this my dog is completely incontinent. Idk if it’s becsuse she ends up drinking more water then can’t hold it or what but she peed her bed ever night until about 4-5 days off of this product, I thought I was crazy so after 2 weeks tried again, same results, peed the bed and ended up getting infections in her skin from sleeping on it as it happened in the middle of the night,... one again... went off and 4 or so days later, all better, tried one last time because I didn’t want to write this review without being totally sure and sure enough it happened again.Now disclaimer ... my dog is on other medications so it may be a reaction with something else and not the product alone but whatever it is interaction or not it doesn’t work for my dog as she has 1-2 episodes of I continence a day using this :/ sad part is it was helping except for that one flaw :/

Hello. I felt compelled to write a review for this wonderful product because simply put, it works. I wanted to share my experience with other people who are struggling with the same problem of excessive shedding from their pets. A few years ago, we took in a Dutch Shepherd. I knew that the Shepherd Breed tends to sheds a lot, but have wanted one. I had know idea just how much they shed. We were forced to vacuum at least twice a day. It was disgusting and getting to be unbearable. It was obvious to me that nutritional needs were not being met because his hair was so dry and dull. I have tried many different recommended brands of dog food trying to meet his nutritional needs. NONE of them worked. I even tried adding my own protein supplements to his food. It did help but gave him gas. I got tired of him crop dusting the house real quick. That boy could clear a room in a hurry. So seeing he was indeed lacking protein, from there I went to Amazon looking for a protein supplement made for specifically for animals. BINGO, the product works. It of course does not completely stop all shedding but wow, what a difference it has made. No more large clumps of black hair all over the house. No more plugging up the vacuum cleaner. For the first few days, Max was giving me the stink eye when I would sprinkle the product on his food and refused to eat it. It was a little different and he didn't approve. Now, he cannot wait for me to add it to his food. We have a much happier household because of this product. Buy it, use it and you will see noticeable positive results within a week. And it gets even better after just a few weeks.

My 11 year old dog has had severe issues with his hips and knees. I don't know that his improvement is 100% due to this product, as I'm also giving him a glucosamine chondroiton treat. However, his improvement is remarkable. His leg muscles are stronger: I no longer see his legs shake as he stands and he's running up and down stairs again.

Reordered this product, but received a different product this time - I received a product intended for human consumption. The product I oredered several times before was written as being for dog/cat. I was happy with the product I had ordered & received numerous times before. So much so, here was my previous review:“Great product. My dog was experiencing frequent and painful nail splits (couple requiring sedation from Vet to clip back). We’ve been giving him ~1 tablespoon daily with his dinner and he has not had another split bail since and it’s been almost a year. Benefits were quickly realized. Product is well-tolerated. Very happy customer!”Not sure I want to have my dog try this different product. Why didn’t Amazon say it was not the same I had oredered previously?!

Made my dogs sick

I have to admit when I first read about this product and it's claims, I was skeptical at best. It said I would see changes in my dogs within three weeks, more energy, improved coat, better digestion etc. Well I have to say I was wrong for doubting this product. My dogs are 7 and 18 years old, both within 2 weeks were more active, happy, playful, better appetites and their fur feels like silk. I have now recommended it to several friends and it definitely does what it claims. If you're on the fence about buying this product, stop hesitating and buy it. Your pets deserve the best and this is it!

My 12 year old schnauzer has had back leg issues for about 3 years. He is on tramadol for pain but without surgery to try to correct his ACL, the vet didn't think there was much to do. Since starting this collagen about 1 month ago, I can tell he feels better. Have been backing off the pain meds. His hind leg has stopped shaking when he is standing! Can't wait to go to the vet and show him his progress. My rat terrier feels better, too and has stopped his incessant shedding. A double win for me with this product! Would recommend to anyone who loves their pet.
