We have a small dining room table and we needed something to accommodate a large family for Thanksgiving. The pool table in the family room proved to be the perfect spot. This table insert was the perfect fit at a reasonable price. Plus the football fans got to enjoy the games even during dinner.

A couple reviews said it didn't make it all the way to the edge of the table leaving a space, but this insert fits our table perfectly! No gaps at all, except of course, at the pockets. We've already put a table cover on and used it as a dining table with no trouble at all. Love it! Hubs is happy because his table is well-protected; I'm happy because we have a comfortable space for the whole family to enjoy a meal.

I bought a pool table and placed it in my dining room; however, husband said "if it's staying there, make it into a dining room table." Bought the insert and dust cover and tada.... got a usable table for the dining room. The fit is a little short inside the table, but it still works well. When I pull off the dust cover and remove the insert, my guest are all impressed, making my pool table and 'me' appear to be professional players. Now I just need to learn how to play! The Insert was a great buy. Folds neatly under the table while playing and easy to put back on.

The insert was received timely however that is the only good thing I can say about it. The product is not as pictured nor as described. It is of very low quality, the made in China label on the box should have tipped me off. The material is of low quality and the seams are glued, not sewn, some of the seams on the product I received were already coming unglued upon receipt. The dimensions are advertised as 88 x44 however they too are inaccurate; the actual dimensions are 86.5 x 42.5. This differnce in size causes the insert to have too large of a gap between the edge of the insert and the pool table bumpers making it less effective. The gap causes plates and glasses to sit unevenly. I e mailed the seller same day I received the insert to arrange a return, they responded promptly saying they would seperately send me a return shipping label via email however I am still waiting for it. I recommend to anyone who is considering this product to find an better quality alternative. At $40 this item would be fairly priced, at $140 it is grossly overpriced relative to the quality.

I purchase this to go along with the Ozone brown leatherette cover. Together, they do a great job of protecting my pool table top. It makes a great buffet table when we entertain. The top surface fits fairly flush to my rails as to not appear raised or recessed. As others have stated, I wish it was a flusher/snugger fit between the rails. Overall, I am happy with it and I hope it lasts a long time.

Poor quality. Good concept but materials are low end and product seems flimsy. I would not be surprised if it fell apart in a short period of time. The seams where the material comes together are especially likely to fail. It feels like a cheap plastic or vinyl glued to Styrofoam. I would rather pay a bit more and upgrade the quality, although the product is by no means an inexpensive item to start with. Also, not quite long enough for an 8 Foot long table. It is 7' 3" Long and leaves a 2 inch gap. I will be returning this one and looking for better version.

Fits loosely but does the job well, I would certainly recommend this to someone looking for this type of solution.

PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT! It arrived on time, exactly the right size and works great! It surpassed my expectations so far. It is nice and thick and works great. I would definately recommend.
