Nice quality pen, but value for money needs to be better.
When it comes to pens, Parker have a great reputation. Does this IM Writing Rituals Rollerball justify that reputation? Well, I'd say just about, but there's room for improvement. The pen comes in an attractive slipcase box. There's also a secondary sleeve over it to keep the box pristine, which is great if you plan to give the pen as a gift. The box has the Royal seals of approval printed on it, which is always nice to see. Upon removing the pen from the box, you can feel that it's good quality. The barrel feels substantial and weighty, though not overly so. The pen has a lovely metallic blue finish, with shiny chrome trim on the cap and barrel. There's the trademark Parker arrow clip on the cap, also in chrome. When I removed the cap, I expected to find the ink refill already fitted, but it's empty. This leads me to my only major gripe with this pen - there's only one ink refill included. Given the price of the pen, I would've expected at least two to be included in the box. Feels a tad stingy on Parker's part. That aside, the pen feels nice in the hand and writes nicely. The black ink is rich and dries instantly, so there's no smudging (good news for lefties!).It seems like a bit of a rite of passage to, at some point, own a fancy pen, even in the digital age. Yes, this is relatively expensive, but it's a nice thing, and it writes well. I think it's probably more of an item that you'd gift to someone, rather than buy yourself. Based on that, I would like to have seen Parker add a little bit more value for money by including at least one more refill, and perhaps include a little dedication card to place inside the box. It's a very nice pen though.

Elegant, with a quality build, & writes first time every time
This is a lovely pen, which feels satisfying in the hand, delights the eye and works beautifully. One otherwise delighted review regretted the cardboard presentation case - I thought it was stylish & sensible.

Pretty and writes really well. A good weight too.
This weighty fountain pen comes in a typical Parker presentation box that is the same colour as the fountain pen and one that is supplied with one ink cartridge. The overall look of the pen is really smart. It’s orange with a gold trim. Colouring is different to what you normally see, nice though. What is unmistakable is the Parker pen styling. There is a good amount of weight to the pen, which gives it more of a premium feel. 32g with the cartridge. Whilst it feels premium, it is made of plastic and so it is not on par with higher end pens, but I suspect neither is it trying to be.The pen writes really well. The ink comes out smoothly and the nib doesn’t catch on the paper. It has a smooth feeling and consistent ink. One of my issues with the fountain pens in general is that they can be a bit scratchy, but not this Parker fountain pen. A lovely pen to write with. This would make a nice gift for someone or for use at work.I really like this pen and have no hesitation in recommending.I hope you found this review helpful.

A high-quality and classy fountain pen - Great gift
Gorgeous high-quality Parker pen with an amazing finish to it, there is a real depth to the sheen. It's a beautiful and classy piece of kit, and would make a wonderful gift.It takes standard cartridges, or can be converted to bottled ink. I found it to be exceptionally smooth to write with, with a consistent flow and a predictable and easy to control spread. My only criticism, is that for the current asking price, of over £50, I think the packaging is exceptionally simple. It does the job but considering how nice this pen is, and how significant the price, I think it could be presented in something a little more durable, a hard-case would be nice, to keep it stored safely like the heirloom it is.

Good looking pen
This is finished in a lovely tone of brushed orange with gold trim and feels and looks like a quality writing instrument. If you write with a fountain pen, then you will not be disappointed with this. It is well weighted and a joy to write with. So, these are all the pros, …cons? Well, it is disappointing that you get only one single ink cartridge. I prefer to load my fountain pens using the plunger ink filler, which is not supplied and you will need to buy separately. I do not like the plastic waste produced by the refill cartridges. Packaging is very basic for pens in this price bracketIdeal for a gift or to treat yourself. Lovely pen, happy to recommend to anyone looking for a smart, professional looking fountain pen.
