Would this Red Label line work well on big bass or should I look for a higher test or braided?

I have caught 3 and 4pounders with no problems and that was on 8lb test line. Just now whiched to 10lb line but have only caught one 2.5lb bass with it so far. I love the knot strength of the line. There are things on utube to help with tying this type of line onto itself or other types of line.

What color is the fishing line?

Clear. But will never waste money on it again.
