Dirt cheap way to get high protein content, also high fiber, good midnight snack
comes in 4 oz packages with a box of 12. That's 48 oz for $21 or almost $0.45 per oz protein powder like orgain is $0.68 per oz https://www.amazon.com/Orgain-Organic-Protein-Powder-Chocolate/dp/B00J074W94/ref=sr_1_4_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1499456774&sr=8-4&keywords=protein%2Bpowder&th=1 Good but cheap pork jerky is $1.30 per oz https://www.amazon.com/Golden-Island-Korean-Pork-Pack/dp/B00T3P5TC2/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1499456817&sr=8-3&keywords=pork+jerky Thats just an analysis for people who are frugal, here's the actual review: TASTE: It tastes like very dry unsalted peanuts with a bit of pistachio flavor on it. Some people say it taste really bland after so many days and they are right. It does taste rather tasteless if you eat too much of it. Rather I would think of it as a supplement, similar to protein powder - don't eat it everyday It doesn't taste disgusting at all, but you'll definitely want to drink water right after since it is dry. NUTRITION When we talk about nutrtion, we look at protein (1g = 4 calories), carb (1g = 4 calories), and fat content (1g = 9 calories. There's 130 calories per serving and 13g of protein (52 calories). That's almost half its content as protein. Which is a lot for a legume/vegetable. If you are doing any form of bulking like I am, this is a lot of protein. So if your vegetarian you cannot go wrong with this USES OF THIS This is all the good parts now. This is what I use this snack for: PREWORKOUT → its suprisingly a good preworkout food. I tried cliff crunchbars but I get really sick of them fast, and they only last about several months anyways before drying out too much. BULKING CALORIE FILLER → this is excellent food to bulk up, normally I have a hard time planning out a surplus of calories when bulking, but adding this to my macro eating routine makes it easy to get the amount of weight + added I want per day. Usually, I just feel it out GOING TO SLEEP MIDNIGHT SNACK → This is actually a very good snack for going to sleep with. Its very easy to digest when you break it down, so its not sitting in your stomach the entire time digesting. And since its alot of protein with a mix of carbs, you aren't overloading on complex carbs that take too long to break down POOPING → Yes I said it. Its a legume (bean) so it has a huge amount of fiber, 8g per serving is a lot. Definitely noticeable and I usually eat this if I don't get enough leafy greens in throughout the day so I don't get constipation TRAVELLING FOOD → Goes into the pooping part. Normally I would eat raisins which are good travel food as well, just to get a balanced diet since being on road / travel is hard to get balance meals. Its a fairly compact package, you can put it in a bag if you need to to save up on space since its filled with air TOPPING → Its not a bad salad topper or rice+beans mix actually. Gives it a nice crunch as well to whatever your cooking also, this is list of how i get all my nonperishable proteins without getting sick of one particular protein too; - This item - Pork Jerky https://www.amazon.com/Golden-Island-Korean-BBQ-Pork/dp/B008TSVXWE/ref=sr_1_5_s_it?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1499457549&sr=1-5&keywords=pork+jerky - Protein Powder+Milk/Soymilk https://www.amazon.com/Orgain-Organic-Protein-Powder-Chocolate/dp/B00J074W94/ref=sr_1_1_s_it?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1499457657&sr=1-1&keywords=protein+powder

Most Nutritious and Satisfactory Non-perishable Snack I Have
This edamame is the healthiest and most satisfactory non-perishable snack I have at hand. It is practical to have non-perishable food which can be eaten without any utensils. It is nice to have such snacks immediately ready when I get hungry at random intervals. However, it is hard to find non-perishable food which is nutritious, free of harmful chemicals, and low in both calories and fat. This dry roasted edamame solves the problem. It is low in carbohydrates and fat, so I do not need to strictly regulate how much I eat. It contains calcium, iron, and lots of fiber, making it ideal for someone who strives to maintain a nutrient-dense diet. The product is certified non-GMO, which is one of the biggest pluses. Best of all, I need to consume only a little of the fibrous edamame to satisfy my hunger. Usually, I will feel content if I eat just one fourth of the bag. Therefore, this compact snack is practical for hiking or traveling, while I more often carry it around to eat it on a casual basis. The snack is satisfactory in more ways than one, as it also cuts no corners on taste. The salty seasoning and the delicious crunch are perfect, in my opinion. Because each serving is very satisfying, a dozen pouches of edamame for $22 (the approximate price at the time) was a bargain even better than the bargains I got on Amazon’s organic canned beans and lentils. I did the actual math. If you are on a tight budget, then know that this edamame is a very cost-effective way to get protein and other nutrients. I find that this edamame is the ultimate solution to my need for a snack that is affordable, non-perishable, nutritious, and satisfactory. About a month after buying a dozen packs, I still have four. I placed an order for another dozen. :D
