Even though right now they can both fit into one, we decided to get two for when they get bigger and for more comfort for them. The backpacks are really great quality. Comfy for the kittens. Lots of air flow and ways for them to look out and see everything. Really easy to switch out the circle parts. The pockets on the side hold a surprising amount. Yesterday I went for a short walk with them and fit my iPhone, sunglasses, air pods, and keys on one side with plenty of room, and on the other treats for them, their harnesses, and a collapsible water dish just in case. The strap across the front helps relieve a lot of the weight the backpack can have with kittens in them. Overall, really comfy for me and the little ones, they are super cute, and we always get lots of compliments on them when we go out. Definitely recommend.
