I've been taking care of my elderly mother for the past couple years. She's frail and has been dealing with many different ailments for the past couple years. Taking care of her over time as made me keenly aware of the mundane items we keep in our home that are extremely dangerous for elderly. Having the bed too tall, hallways with nothing to hold onto, chairs that don't slide easily in and out, are all things we take for granted, but are extremely dangerous for elderly people. The past few years I've kept a keen eye for products that mitigate those dangers i.e. rails for the bed, hallway grab bars, and sliding pads for chairs. Unfortunately, searching for elderly products online doesn't always yield the best products, searching for kids products often yields better design products.Recently while running to grab something for my elderly mother I accidentally tipped over the television near her bed on her nightstand. Thank goodness nothing happened! However it was enough to scare me to try to find a product to prevent this from happening again, since the TV is quite heavy. As I stated earlier searching for kids products often yields better results, which is where I came across this product.Installation for this product is relatively simple.You use the included stud finder to find the optimal place to drill a hole, drill the holster nails, attach the straps to the TV, and you're done. The process took no longer than five minutes and doesn't block the view of the TV. Even though I gave this product five stars, my only gripe is that you need to be somewhat handy to install this product, I needed a drill which was not the most convenient thing.I wasn't planning on leaving a review - I usually don't have patience or the time. However just today I mistakenly tipped over the TV again... Or so I thought until I saw the TV was magically held in place. This time it could've been really bad, had the TV fallen it would've hit my mother directly. I'm so grateful for this product! I feel obligated to leave a review.

Just received these yesterday and installed last night. While my husband and I are not very handy people, I feel these were more difficult than they should be to install. Took us over an hour to install them last night. The directions seemed vague, but was very happy the stud finder was included. That was very handy. Just remember to drill right above or below your magnetic connection, because otherwise you will try to drill right into a screw/nail head. Initially, we wanted to attach the straps from our TV to our stand. We did not want to put any unnecessary holes in the walls. The top holes on the back of our TV were up high and the straps weren't long enough to reach the back of our stand. We just bought a 58" Samsung. We thought about returning them and looking for new ones, but didn't want to risk the safety of waiting for a new order to arrive. We found it difficult to line up the studs with the TV, since the stand is pulled far away from the wall for us to get back there and work on this. Overall, we did get it accomplished and I do believe it will work and be very safe, it was just a frustrating process for installing. I would still recommend the product, but wish the directions were more detailed and the straps were longer for larger TV's. Thank you.

I got these about a month back, and have to say they're holding up great.There are 4 straps in a pack, so suitable for 2 uses, I've only used 2 of them so still have some spare - the others I tested before use just to see how far they'd go. I'm 6'2 and decent shape, but couldn't manage to have them slip or break when trying to pull them apart, a good sign for their intended use!The material of the straps seems to be some sort of tightly woven (I'd guess) nylon? it feels like the kind that you get on a backpack, but much tougher and lasting.The box had screws for each strap, so 2x furniture screws, 3x wall screws, a bunch of differing VESA bolts (my TV still had its bolts in, but one of the bolt sizes in the box fit the same). All of that x4, 1 set for each strap.The plastic felt tough and durable as mentioned above, I couldn't break it through stretching and pulling.The Stud Finder was an awesome addition, better than going out and spending $20+ at the hardware store for an electronic one - does what you need, just have to remember to drill a little lower/higher/aside than the screw/bolt it's detecting in the wall stud.The pencil also a nice addition, since there's never one around when you need it at home!The way I have it is the TV to wall version, as this best suits our needs and puts my mind at rest with a dog and kids about. I see no reason why you couldn't do this and also attach the stand to the wall, just wasn't what we needed since ours is flat bottomed and secure already.Would recommend to anyone with young ones around or pets that are clumsy like ours too!

I got this anti tip kit to anchor my new TCL 65" tv on a wood stand. The first problem I ran into was that the screws provided didn't work to secure the clips to the tv so I had to use the ones supplied with the tv. Second, the other wood screws were so soft that several stripped. A trip to the nearest hardware store and the purchase of good wood screws solved this problem. Third and most importantly is that the kit I chose came with 4 straps and 4 different bags of screws. The straps were adjustable but were all the same length and too short to attach to the back of the tv stand so we improvised and attached to the top of the stand. I'm thrilled with that maybe instead of 4 of the same length make 2 of the straps longer.I'm currently looking around for longer straps.

I didn’t think I needed these, then one day my todder opened every drawer on his dresser at the same time and it toppled over on him. Luckily I was near by, and he wasn’t hurt. It could have been so much worse, so after that incident I made sure to secure it to the wall with these straps. This kit even comes with a magnetic stud finder and a pencil!
