This works great, and is fun to use. Since it is used to kill, I kind of feel bad saying that.

The media could not be loaded. The device remains energized for the full 5-10 minutes after the button is no longer pressed! To say that this is dangerous would be an understatement. Apparently there is a capacitor inside being charged to 4,000V DC and then left to discharge very slowly. Yes, the capacitor is presumably small, thus it hopefully won’t have enough energy to kill a human, but still being shocked by a few thousand volts is no picnic. Do not poke your fingers or any metal objects into the wire mesh and do not let children play with this device! I can’t believe a device like this is being sold to general public with no instructions and no warnings whatsoever.It follows that it apparently isn’t necessary to keep pressing the power button while hunting that one wasp as the device will keep the high voltage charge for at least a few minutes after the button was last pressed.

this swatter works great! On the plus side - if you like to hear the "zap" - this is the swatter for you!
