Nice if you can get it.
Beautiful, heavy wall stainless bottle. Nice lid and tether, machined nalgene-standard water filter compatible threads. This is the sexy, skinny 24 oz travel model, and it's great in the side pocket of a day pack, or in your car's cup holder, with its skinny base. I'm collecting these Guyot bottles in all their varieties, apparently; they're the nicest bottles I've seen if you don't mind the moderate weight, and water's heavy anyway, so for everything but ultralight backpacking, these are awesome, durable bottles, very hard to dent, unlike most thin-wall offerings from others. They can rust, like all stainless, if you're not careful. Don't let moisture stay inside with the lid on, or you'll be trying to tape 400-grit sandpaper to the end of a stick and get enough leverage to resurface the inside of your bottle... pro tip there, don't ask me how I know... Mine was the last of its kind, arrived battered and in need of some love, but I got a discount so it's cool. This review may serve no purpose if these have really gone extinct as rumored, but if you can get a good price on one, get it. At twenty bucks, it's a pretty good deal, but at any less it's a must-buy, IMO.

this is a nice simple screw-on cap with a silicone seal that works ...
If you can get your hands on one of the Guyot bottles go for it. They are no longer being made, although Nalgene now makes the same thing in the 32 ounce size. These are single wall (not insulated) premium stainless steel bottles that have a thicker wall than almost any of their competitors, and no seam running up the side either. Very well made bottles, and if you are into camping you can actually put these bottles directly over a flame to warm your coffee, tea, soup, whatever. Just remember to take the cap completely off before doing so. Speaking of caps, this is a nice simple screw-on cap with a silicone seal that works perfectly. If you wish to remove the entire cap you can just slide the slip not a bit and it comes off, but if you merely wish to drink the tether makes it certain you will not lose it somewhere.

decent product
Item shipped promptly, and I'm always pleased with guyot designs products. I only gave it four stars because when I received it, it was dented all up on the bottom from apparently being dropped, doesn't take away from the functionality, but it does subtract from the aesthetics. Other than that it's a good product.

Heavy duty
Extremely well made drinking bottle. Could withstand a lot of abuse in the outdoors. Possibly even be used at camp fire to cook certain foods with the lid removed.
